教材分析 The topic of this period is to talk about movies and TV shows they prefer. The purpose is to extend the target language with descriptions (adjectives).The target language is the basis for students to the next part of this unit. So it’s very important to learn this period well.
教学目标 To help students extend the target language with descriptions (adjectives); Practice listening and gain information.
教学重难点 Teaching Key points:1. Talk about preference.2. Practice listening skillsTeaching difficulty:Let students choose the most proper adjective.

教学流程教学流程 1.热身和导入 1. Read the conversations on the screen to review past tense. 2. Lead in the class with some questions: What do you want to do this weekend Guess “What do I want to watch tonight ”3. Show the mind map to help students form a system of important information. After reading, some students would be asked to answer the teacher’s questions and then ask some questions to the teacher.
2.启发研究 Tell students that there are some pictures of TV shows and movies on P36. What do you think of them Choose words from the box and write them under the pictures. Choose the right words to describe the TV shows and movies.
3.合作探究 Ask students to work in pairs to find out what their partners think of these TV shows and movies and the reason. Work in pairs to find out what your partner think of these TVshows and movies and thereason.
4. 耳朵叫醒 Call Ss’ attention to activity 1b and1c. Ask Ss to grasp the key wordswhile listening. Listen and number the description words in 1b. Try to grasp the key words.Listen again and finish the chart. Try to write down the first letter.Show the answers.
5.合作探究 1. Ask students to talk about the information got from the chart.2. Give necessary comment and help. Students are supposed to work in groups to tell your group member what John and Mary like to watch and why. Then tell your partner what you like to watch and why. Choose a representative to display their finds.
6调查报告 Hand out a survey for Ss to do. Tell them that they’ll have to report what they’ve found. Offer some necessary help. 1. Do the survey: What do you want to watch Why 2. Choose a representative to report what your group have found.
