学情分析
三年级的小朋友初学英语,英语功底也很薄弱,我根据学生情况,以学生为主体,以激活他们对英语的兴趣为着入点。 We love animals!这一课围绕几只小动物展开对单词的认知,因为学生的年龄特点对动物也都很偏爱,所以在本课中我运用多样化教学手段使学生轻松掌握重难点
教学目标
1.Knowledge objectives:
(1) Ss are able to listen, speak and read the new words and the new sentence structures: panda, monkey, bird, tiger, elephant and What’s that It’s a/an…
(2) Ss are able to know to use “an” in front of “elephant”.
2. Ability objectives:
Ss are able to use the new words and sentence structures in
given situations.
3. Moral objectives:
Ss are able to know to love and protect animals.
学时重点
1. Ss are able to know the difference between “What’s this ” and “What’s that ”.
学时难点
2. Ss are able to know how to use “a” and “an”.

【导入】Warm-up
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Greetings and free talk.
T: Good morning, boys and girls
Ss: Good morning, Miss Zhang.
T: How are you today
Ss: I’m fine, thank you.
T: What’s your name
S1: My name’s …
T: Nice to meet you.
S1: Nice to meet you, too.
2. Watch a video and do some actions. Review “What’s this ” and some animal words. Ask the whole class to stand up and do after the video together.
【讲授】Presentation
Step 2 Presentation
1. Describe the animal of panda on the screen. Ask students to guess what it is. Teach the word: panda.
T: I like one animal very much. It is very big. It is black and white. It likes to eat bamboo. What’s it Can you guess
Ss: …
T: It’s a panda.
Then show the word card: panda.
(1) Ask one group to read the word and the sentence one by
one.
(2) Ask the whole class to read them.
(3) The teacher asks and answers like this:
T: What’s that It’s a panda.
Meanwhile put the word card on a place far away. Point the word card and say: What’s that . Guide students to answer it: it’s a panda.
(4) Then take the card closely and ask: What’s this Help students to understand the two sentences.
(5) Put the word card on the blackboard.’
2. Show a picture of a monkey with two circles on the ppt. Ask students to guess what it is. Teach the word: monkey.
Use the same way to ask and answer: What’s that It’s a monkey.
Put the word card of monkey on the blackboard.
3. Listen to the sound carefully and guess what it is. Teach the word: bird.
Use the same way to ask and answer: What’s that It’s a bird.
4. Listen to a song together: Two cats. Then answer:
What does the song sing about Guide students to say: It’s a tiger.
Teach the word: tiger.
Use the same way to ask and answer: What’s that It’s a tiger.
Put the word card of tiger on the blackboard.
5. Show a riddle on the screen. Guess what it is.
It’s very very big. It has a long nose. What’s it
Teach the word: elephant.
Use the same way to ask and answer: What’s that It’s an
elephant.
Put the word card of elephant on the blackboard.
Ask students to pay attention to this: we should use “an” in front of “elephant”. Put the word on the blackboard.
6. Show a chant on the ppt.
Bird, bird. It’s a bird.
Tiger, tiger. It’s a tiger.
Panda, panda. It’s a panda.
Monkey, monkey. It’s a monkey.
Elephant, elephant. It’s an elephant.
7. Show a picture of a zoo on the screen. Guess what it is.
Teach the word: zoo. Then say: Let’s go to the zoo.
8. Open the books on page 42. Read after the TV.
Step3 Consolidation and extension
1. Play a game: What’s missing Show some words on a tree and
ask students to say which one is missing.
2. Listen and do.

Do the actions after the radio.
3. Make a dialogue with your partner.
Assume that you are one animal and your partner is another animal.

4. Sing a song together.
First the teacher sings it. Then the whole class sings it together.
