一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 学习谈论饮食习惯的相关名词和词组:star, eat, well, eating habits, healthy, really, question, want to do sth, be fat;并能适当掌握相关的日常饮食习惯的表达。
2)理解可数名词与不可数名词的概念,并能对所学的词汇进行分辨。
3)就健康饮食的话题开展听、说、读、写技能的训练,促进学生语言运用能力的提高。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
该部分学习内容涉及学生的饮食习惯和偏爱,对培养学生健康的饮食习惯有很强的指导性,能引起学生的特别关注;同时通过互相询问和谈论,培养对家人和同学、朋友的关怀和友爱之情。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1)学习运用有关饮食习惯的词汇。
2)就健康饮食的话题开展听、说、读、写技能的训练,促进学生语言运用能力的提高。
2. 教学难点:
阅读有关健康饮食方面的材料,分辨可数名词和不可数名词并能进行水果蔬菜的食物分类,提高综合运用英语的能力。
三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision
1. Greet the Ss. Then sing a song with the students.
2. Review the words on food.
Review by asking “what food/fruit/vegetables do you like ” Then make students answer like “I like apples/carrots/ice-cream…”.
Countable nouns: hamburgers, eggs, oranges, bananas, apples, pear, carrots, vegetables, strawberries
Uncountable nouns: milk, bread, rice
Uncountable and countable nouns: food, fruit, ice-cream, salad, chicken
3. Do you think they(hamburgers/milk/salad) are healthy (write down the new word “healthy” and make students read several times)
(to lead in the healthy eating topic) and then fill the chart by indentifying the healthy and unhealthy food.
Ⅱ. Presentation
1. Before reading.
(1) T: How many meals do you have every day Ss: Three.
T: What do you have for breakfast/lunch/dinner (write down the new phrases “ eating habits” and make Ss read several times.)
Ss: I have bread and milk for breakfast./I have rice, carrots and chicken for lunch./I have hamburgers and apples for dinner…….(Ss can describe by themselves freely.)
(2) Ss read and try to describe their three meals and ask other students “Does she/he have good eating habits Yes, she/he does./No, he/she doesn’t.”
2. While reading
(1) Finish the task1: Ask the Ss “ who is Cindy and who is David To lead in the new words (star, ask questions) and write them down on the blackboard.
(2) Finish the task 2: Ask the Ss “ what does or doesn’t Cindy like for three meals a day ” and fill in the charts with the help of the food pictures.
We know Cindy has healthy eating habits. What food does she like What food doesn’t she like Cindy likes fruit for breakfast.
(注意运用句型:Cindy likes … for … 或Cindy doesn’t like/eat … for …)
Let some Ss read their sentences to the class.
Give Ss a few minutes to answer the three questions and lead in the new words and phrases(eat well, eating habits and be healthy) at the same time (Ss answer one by one and read the new words after the teacher)
(3) Finish the task 3: finish the sentences of 2c.
3. Post reading
(1) Finish the task1:
Pair-work-- act out the conversation with the help of the pictures.
(2) Finish the task2: retell the story by filling in the blanks. Then the Ss read together.
4. language points:
The teacher explains the important grammar points and make Ss write down the notes and read after the teacher.
Ⅲ. Exercises
Fill in the blanks and the sentences. Then check the answers by asking 3-5 Ss.
IV. Homework
1. Review the word on food.
2. Make a survey about your family’s eating habits.
“What do your parents like for three meals ” after class.
V. Emotional goals:
Want to be healthy Have a nice breakfast! 想要健康从吃好一顿早餐开始!
Make students pay attention to keep good eating habits.
