三． 知识讲解
1. ago副词，“……以前”，应放在表示时间的词语的后面。如：
half a year ago 半年前
two days ago 两天前
2. not…at all “根本不”,at all 用于否定句中，是为了加强语气，一般放在句尾。如：
I don’t know it at all . 我根本不知道它。
3.could , couldn’t 分别是can ,can’t 的过去式。如：
I couldn’t swim when I was twelve . 我12岁时还不会游泳。
拓展：could 常常用于现在时间的句子中，表示语气委婉，在答句中不用could , 而用can如：
---Could I borrow your bike 我可以借你的自行车吗？
---Of course , you can . 当然可以。
