Skimming
1.Let Ss read the text quickly(快速地), then finish B1 and answer the following three questions.

2) Is Simon tall Yes, he is.
3) What class do they in They are in Class 1, Grade 7.
2. Let Ss answer the questions and check the answers together.
Step 6 While-reading
Scanning
1. Play the tape and ask Ss listen to the tape and finish B2.
2. Let Ss read the text and translate it, then answer the questions.(四篇小短文分别让四个学生读并翻译,同时回答B2相关人物的两题对错题.T/F)Then check the answers together
3. Teacher analyze the language points of the text one by one.

Step 7 After-reading

1. Work in pair. Give 5 minutes to Ss to make a conversation about self-introduction with their deskmate.
2. Invite several students to introduce his/her deskmate to class.
