1.Show an English song:Big big world.
Purpose: arise students’ interest in the coming class.
2.Self-introduction
Today I am your new teacher, nice to meet you .Do you want to know about me
My Chinese name is Huo Cuiling, my English name is Colleen. I like festivals very much.Do you want to know my favourite festival Maybe you can have a guess.
Purpose: ask students to know the teacher well and chave the inter-activity with the teacher in class.
3.Have a free talk
Have a free talk with students about my favourite festival. Students ask and I answer.
S: Dragon Boat Festival/Spring Festival/Mid-autumn Festival/Chinese New Year...

S: Halloween
T: Oh,you are so clever.
My favorite festival is Halloween.Well,do you know, when is Halloween It’s on 31st
of October.Lead in the topic:Halloween
Purpose: to know the teacher’s favourite festival and lead in the topic:Halloween.

Boys and girls , I have good news for you .Our school is going to hold a Festival Week.Do you want to join it If you want to join it If you want to join it, you should pass 4 levels.Then you can get the ticket.Now let’s know the 4 levels together.
Level 1 : Activities about Halloween.
Level 2 : Something about Halloween.
Level 3 : Language learning about Halloween.
Level 4 : Further learning about Halloween.
Purpose: to lead in the 4 levels and ask students’ interest in finishing the levels and know Halloween very well.

Show pictures and ask students to say out the expressions about Halloween:
