Ⅲ.阅读理解(25分)
If companies want to bring workers back into the office during the period of COVID-19, finding ways to keep social distance(距离) will be the key. An Israeli company thinks that using smart sensors(传感器) in offices will help keep social distance.
PointGrab developed its technology before the pandemic(流行病). About the size of a smoke alarm(烟雾警报器), the sensor can record the exact number and location of people in buildings including offices, hotels and restaurants.
One of the company’s first customers was Deloitte, which used it last year. Doron Shachar, CEO of PointGrab, says it has helped Deloitte put 30% more people in 3% less space.
Now, PointGrab is using the technology for social isolation(隔离). The smart sensors can record the distance between people, and whether they’re moving in one direction around a building.
For example, a workspace manager can set an alarm when two people are closer than two meters for more than 30 seconds.
