Unit 1 What does she look like 教学设计
一、学情分析:
本课话题为外貌描述。学生在三年级已经学了身体各个部位的词,如face, ear, eye ,nose, mouth, hair等,也学过形容词big, small, beautiful,等。在此基础上,学习本课新的形容词 tall, short, long, round等,对于学生来说不会很难。这个年龄段的孩子还是喜欢游戏,喜欢比赛。所以教师可以较多地创设情境,让学生在具体活动中运用基本句型“What does he/she look like ”“He/She has……”来进行操练。如,“猜一猜”、“说一说” “画一画”等。
二、教学目标:
知识目标:1、能听懂、会说、认读新单词tall, short, young, old, round face, long hair.
2、能运用句型What does he/she look like 询问他人外貌;并能运用 She is…./She has…描述他人外貌。
能力目标: 能正确运用所学单词和句型描述人物外貌特征。
情感与态度价值观目标:通过描述同学、老师、名人的外貌,让学生明白,人不可貌相,外貌在人生中并不是最重要的因素,能力才是最重要的。我们应该“重内在,轻外在”。
三、教学重难点:
重点:能听懂、会说、认读新单词,并能初步运用本课句型介绍他人外貌。
难点:能综合运用所学知识描述人物特征。
四、教学过程:
Step1 Greetings and guess.
1.Sing the song《What does she look like 》
1. T: Hello, boys and girls, nice to see you! Are you happy today This year we have a new Chinese teacher. Look at these photos. Guess, Who is our Chinese teacher What does she/he look like Can you guess Please write the name on the paper.(课件出示教师图片,学生在纸上写下自己所猜老师的名字)
S:I think she/he is ….
Do you want to know who is our Chinese teacher
Ok, Let’s get to know her/him.
Step2 Presentation.
1、教学单词young, old, tall, short, long, round.
多媒体课件一一出示描述语文老师外貌的语句。通过两两对比来学习生词,并猜测谁才是我们的语文老师。
(1)课件出示 Our Chinese teacher is young.
T: Look! Miss Li is young, Miss Chen is young, Cindy is young ,too. But Mr Yang is old.
教学单词 young, old.
T: Our Chinese teacher is young. So, Mr Yang is not our Chinese teacher.
(2). 课件出示 Our Chinese teacher is young. She is tall.
T:Look, Miss Liu is tall, Miss Chen is tall. Cindy is tall, too. But Miss Li is not tall. She is short.
教学单词tall, short.
T: Our Chinese teacher is tall. So, Miss Li is not our Chinese teacher.
(3). 课件出示Our Chinese teacher is young. She is tall. She has long hair.
T : Cindy has long hair. Miss Chen has long hair, too. But Miss Liu has short hair.
教学单词long
So, Miss Liu is not our Chinese teacher.
(4). Our Chinese teacher is young. She is tall. She has long hair. She has a round face.
T: Look, Miss Chen has a round face. Cindy has a small face.
教学单词round.
Ok,now, Who is our Chinese teacher Are you right
(5). Describe our Chinese teacher.描述语文老师的外貌,巩固所学句子和词汇。
2. Part A
(1) Listen and answer the questions.
T: Peter and Lingling are talking about their new teacher. Do you want to know what she looks like OK, let’s listen to tape.
Q: Is the new Chinese teacher beautiful
(2) Listen and fill the form.
(3) Listen and repeat.
(4) Role-play.
Step 3 Talk show
T: Just now we talked about our teachers. now, we’ll have a “talk show”, you can talk about one of your classmates in your group.
(教师用PPT提供一些句型供学生参考运用)
学生以小组为单位谈论自己的一位同学或朋友。
“Hello, I’m ______________.
This is my friend_____________.
He/She is ……
He / She has ……
He/She likes……”
Step 4 Listen and draw.
播放录音,教师描述一位老师的外貌,学生作画。
I have a new English teacher. She has a small face. She has big eyes, big nose , small ears and a small mouth. She has long hair. She is not tall. She wears a pair of glasses. She likes to wear dresses. She’s beautiful.
看学生的画,课件揭晓所画人物。
Step5 Consolidation
课件出示名人们的图片,用教师所给的提示词,简单描述他们的外貌、性格特征。
T: At last , I have two words for you.
A man can not be judged by he looks.
Whether you are tall or short ,beautiful or ugly, you are unique.
