【教学目标】

接触词汇:ambition, path
掌握短语:have clear goals , know yourself, so many /much ,
be good at , encourage sb. to do sth , be strict with sb , be strict

(2) To master important sentences:(掌握重要的句子)
a. There are so many good choices.
b. She is strict but nice.
c. She encourages us to work hard, but she never punishes us.
d. You are good at playing basketball.
2. Ability goals:(能力目标)
a.To understand the meaning of the text.
b.To express your/their dreams skillfully in English.(能用英语熟练地表达自己或他人的梦想)

1.了解不同人的理想,并利用阅读后所获取的信息来进行写作

【教学过程】
一、导入新课,板书课题
在希沃白板上播放英文歌曲《My Dream》,并让学生观看视频的同时一起吟唱,来激发学生对未来的梦想,就很自然导入到本节课主题---- Our Ambitions and Dreams .
导入语:Good morning, boys and girls. Is everyone here How are you Are you happy
二、新授课
Step 1. Review
We know the topic of this unit is about future. In last lesson, we learned about the story of Lucas .In the future , he hopes to be _________, or maybe _____________, even be ____________. All in all, his biggest goal is _______________.
Step 2. Lead-in
Have the students enjoy a song about “My Dream”.
After listening the song ,ask the them the following question:
T: Do you like the song ? S: Yes !
T: The song is about ________. S: Dreams.
T:Yes. From the song that we know the master wants to be ...
S: A pilot , a driver and a captain .
T: Very good . you are so clever. Everyone has his own dream , so do I . My dream is very simple. I hope my family are happy and healthy every day . What about your dreams
S1: My dream is ...
S2: I hope to be ...
S3:I want to be ...
T:Good ! We all have ambitions and dreams. In this class ,let’s learn about Li Ming’s and Danny’s ambitions and dreams.

Step3. Show teaching aims and write the title “Lesson 29 Our Ambitions and Dreams ”on the blackboard .
Step4 .New words and phrases.
1. Show pictures to the students to learn new words
2. Describe a photo about David’s family
Show a photo of David and try to describe it.
【设计思路:通过对图片的描述,让学生初步了解关于理想的表达方式,并接触本课词汇。通过情境学习新词,让学生在语境中掌握知识,便于学生识记。】
3.Think About It:
What are you going to be when you grow up
A scientist, a pilot ,a policeman ,a farmer,a write and a teacher There are so many good choices. It’s hard to choose just one. The main thing is to know yourself and to choose the right path for you.
【设计思路:引导学生通过思考,明白只有立足现在,才会有美好的将来。】
4.Word-self (单词自测)
At first ,let the students turn to Page 134 and read and remember the new words by themselves . Finish exercises about new words.

Step5. Listening.
Listen to the tape and write true (T)or false (F).
【设计思路:通过听力训练让学生们初次感知文本的主要内容,并对课文内容进行初步了解。】
Step6 .Reading.
1.Read Lesson 29 quickly and try to find out the answers to the questions.
2. Then have the students answer the questions.
【设计思路:默读课文并根据问题在课文中找答案,捕捉信息,可以锻炼学生的阅读理解能力,对课文加深了解。】
Step7. Reading again.
Read the e-mail carefully again , and underline some important phrases and sentences.
【设计思路:通过细读课文,找出本节课的重点短语和句子。既可以锻炼学生的阅读理解能力,又可以对课文再次加深了解。捕获有关表达梦想的信息句子。】

Work in groups and discuss how to use “be strict with ”and “be strict in”

Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the useful expressions in this lesson.

Step11.Make an interview .
Work in groups of four or five students. Take about their dreams. They can choose one of them to be a reporter . Then ask one to two groups to show in front of the class.

Step12. Let the students PK it ,and see “Who is the best ”
【设计思路:通过希沃白板中得蒙层功能 吸引学生的好奇心,同时也是对本节课知识点的一个巩固。】
Step 13. Writing .
T: As we all know from this lesson, many people have dreams. What about your dreams and why Let the students write a short passage with the help of the following questions by themselves.

(2).Why do you want to be a/an…
(3).What will you do if your are a/an…
(3).What will you do if your are a/an…
