Teaching Analysis:
1.Analysis of the material:
This is the last part of Unit 3-Read&Write .It can be divided into two parts.The first part require Ss to understand the meaning of the word”invitation” with the help of the pictures and teacher.While the second part asks Ss write their own invitation with the key sentence pattern”somebody + will +do something.”
2.Analysis of the students:
The students of Grade five are mature than that in the lower grade.They prefer a learning activity with a sense of achievement.Students have a preliminary understanding of the future tense,but they need further study to write invitation by the correctly usage of interrogative words(Where.What...)and future tense.In addition, Ss can learn more verb to describe festival.They need to be guided by our teacher to help them develop their minds and to use their language in a more practical and deeper way.
Teaching Objectives:
1.Broaden the student’s horizons about the Easter party though reading this invitation(:place, time , activities , ect.)
2.Help students understand some actions of Easter. For example:roll ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )Easter eggs,look for eggs,eat chocolate eggs,meet the Easter Bunny ect. Moreover,ask Ss finish the practice of Let’s check.
3.Enable the Ss experience the diversity of culture.
Key point:
Help the Ss understand the content of the invitation
Difficult point:
Ss can grasp the usage of “will”then they can write an invitation by using the sentence pattern”Sb will ...”
