学情分析
Students of Grade 3 have just learned English for short time, they have strong and lasting interest in learning English. Many students dare to show themselves. So through proper scene and games, students can get chances to practice and express the target language correctly.
重点难点
Teaching importance and difficulties:
To make students grasp the numbers from one to five
skillfully.
To use the sentence pattern “How many... ” to ask and give
the correct answer.
Solutions:
Use different activities and teaching materials for students to practice. For example, providing some games or chant. Also teaching by Smart Notebook is an effective way.

Lead in
Today is Sam’s birthday. Many friends will come to his birthday party. Would you like to join it Yes, and then show Ss a picture about the party. Make Ss talk about what can they see.

1、Teach the new words.
①Teach the word “one”.
T: What can you see in the picture (画面呈现生日蛋糕)

呈现数字1以及四线格上正确书写one,并示范单词发音。

②Teach the word “two”.
Ss look at the picture and answer how many cards does Sam receive.

Present some numbers for Ss to read. 110(报警电话)、120(急救电话)、114(电话查询)
Ss may not read out the number 114 correctly. So
underline the number 4 and teach.
⑤Teach the word“five”.
Continue to use the gifts from Sam’s birthday to arouse Ss’ interest and have them count how many gifts does Sam receive.
The gifts are about words that Ss have learned before, it can review the vocabulary.
Ss read the number together.
