教学目标
1. 能够听、说、认读six, seven, eight, nine, ten等有关数字的单词;能够在情境中理解并运用句型“How old are you ”及答语 “I’m ____ years old.”
2. 能听懂指示语“Show me ….”,并能按照指令做出相应的动作;能够用“Happy birthday!”向别人表达生日祝福。
3. 了解中西文化中谈论年龄话题的差异。
学情分析
本课是学生在学习了英文数字1-5的基础上,继续学习数字6-10的英文表达。英文数字对三年级的学生来说并不陌生,单独教学拼写会很枯燥。于是,为其创设Sam过生日的情景,通过猜测礼物引起他们的兴趣,再渗透数字6-10的相关文化背景知识及一些特殊用法,使学生感到新鲜,易于接受和掌握。
重点难点
教学重点:
听、说、认读six, seven, eight, nine, ten等单词。
教学难点:
1. The correct pronunciation of “seven” and “ten”.
2. 能够正确运用句型 “I’m ____ years old.”表达自己的年龄。
教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
Show a picture.
Today is Sam’s birthday. Let’s say “Happy birthday!” to him.
Sam has many gifts. Look, what are they How many cakes/ bears/books/monkeys/pencils/ducks/crayons Let’s count. One, two, ….
Step 2. Presentation
1. To learn “six”
a. To show “six”. It’s Sam’s birthday. How old is he Let’s count the candles. One, two, three, four, five, six. He is six.
b. To read “six” after teacher
c. To read the new word by groups
d. To read the new word one by one. T helps the Ss with pronunciation.
e. To introduce the sentence pattern “How old are you I’m ____ years old.”
T: Sam is six years old. I’m Sophia. Who want to be Sam
T: Hi, Sam.
S: Hi, Sophia.
T: Happy birthday!
S: Thank you.
T: How old are you
S: I’m six years old.
2. To learn “seven, eight, nine, ten” by the above steps.
Sam has another four gifts. Let’s see. ( 每只盒子都有一只小动物看守着,想知道盒子里是什么吗 那就要会说一句通关密语: “Monkey, Monkey. How old are you ” ) ( Four boxes: seven apples, eight flowers, nine o’clock, ten pens )
Ss: Monkey, Monkey. How old are you
Monkey: I’m seven years old.
(出示图片的同时播放录音:I’m seven years old.)
a. Apples. How many apples Let’s count. One apple, two apples, … seven apples.
b. What’s this Window. How many windows Let’s count. Seven windows. 七扇窗户。What does “Window Seven” mean Show a picture and guess. 七号窗口 Window Six. 六号窗口
c. 数字6和7还有一个特殊的用法:at sixes and sevens(乱七八糟)
Show 3 pictures and guess the meaning.
Bird: I’m eight years old.
3+5=8.
4+4=8
What else
Tiger: I’m nine years old.
a. nine o’clock 九点钟 (复习时间的表达)
b. nine to five朝九晚五
c. nine nines九个"9"
d. A cat has nine lives. 猫有九命,吉人自有天相。
Dog: I’m ten years old.
What are these Pens. How many pens Ten.
ten pens, hen, men, man. (ten 和pen 学生拼读的时候容易出错,因势利导,为什么呢 因为这两个词长得很像, 类似的还有hen, men, men的原形是man. 通过出示图片帮助学生理解这些词的意思。)
3. To read the five words on the blackboard.
(按从小到大的顺序将所学数字排序)

4. Let’s learn: Look, listen, point and say( P62 )
Sam is six years old. He is having a birthday party. His friends come to the party, too. How old are they Look at the picture. Let’s count the candles.

Listen to the tape and answer the questions above.
Pairwork
5. Pairwork:
1) To read the sentences “How old are you I’m ____ years old.” after teacher.
2) To set an example with one student.
3) To set another example by two students.
4) Pairwork. ( If you find it difficult, you can ask me or the teachers behind for help. )
5) To perform in front.
( 在西方国家,年龄属于个人隐私,成年人尤其是女士一般不谈论年龄。见面时我们可以谈谈天气。 )

Numbers are everywhere and they are useful. Can you read these numbers in English ( License Plate number--- the plate number of the car, room number, telephone number)
