课题 Unit 1 Encyclopaedias Period 1 Reading I
教材分析 The reading section of Unit 1, Look it up, contains two parts. The first part is about the famous person, Da Vinci, Leonardo, while the second part is about the extinct animal, dinosaur. This article aims at guiding students to know Da Vinci and dinosaurs, and improve students’ reading the ability to capture key information.This teaching period mainly deal with new words and reading. Students are expected to master the new words and can skim and scan the passage. The teachers are expected to enable students to master some reading skills.
学习目标与核心素养 Knowledge objective: 认识单词encyclopaedia, Italian, 记住单词inventor, musician,scinetist等;2.能根据上下文,猜测born, in the countryside, ability, include等词语词义;Ability objective: 1. We can skim and scan the passage we will learn; 2. We can check information in an encyclopaedia; Emotional objective: Realize the importance of some people and the vulnerability of some animals.Thinking quality objectives: Recognize the importance of celebrities and learn to protect animals.
重点 Enable students to acquire the basic usage of some words and phrases.
难点 Enable students have a good understanding of reading skills.
