Unit 1 Today is Halloween.
整体备课思路:
本课我围绕本校高段课题“促听说,扩思维,从孩子的实际情况出发处理文本。所以我的设计尽可能的遵循一下几点:
1. What most my students have known
1. What most my students want to know
1. What most my students need to know
1. What most my students can do
同时,针对五年级的孩子,我尝试在课堂上尽可能的培养孩子的提问能力,让孩子多提问、多思考、充分体现生本课堂的意义。具体体现在以下几点:
“促听说”方面:围绕着高段课题,体现如下1、预习热身环节non- stop talking中听说策略的渗透。2、学习课文时,listen and answer, listen and repeat, listen and imitate,培养学生听答,听读的能力。3、listen and judge (Hot seat)环节是听说能力的操练。
“扩思维”方面:围绕高段课题,有关思维体现在三点1、30’non-stop talk.是一个非常好的激活思维的活动,大容量,高密度,短时间内有针对性的激活学生旧知,为新知学习做铺垫。2、针对Halloween自主提问,尽可能地培养学生的提问能力,拓展学生的思维。3、学生在阅读过程中,阅读技巧和阅读方法的渗透。
教材分析: 本课为外研社新标准英语(一年级起始)五年级上册的教学那日。主要学习“万圣节”的英语知识,了解西方风俗文化。其中Unit1的课文情境是Amy和Sam向Lingling介绍万圣节前夕(Halloween)。他们告诉Lingling,在英国这是一个秋天的节日。晚上孩子们会穿上吓人的衣服,戴上可怕的面具,到邻居家索要糖果。
学生分析:本课的教学对象是五年级学生,他们的英语知识已经有了一定的积累,英语听说读写方面的能力也有了一定的基础,具备了初步运用英语交流的能力。针对五年级的孩子,我尝试在课堂上尽可能的培养孩子的提问能力,让孩子多提问、多思考、充分体现生本课堂的意义。孩子们通过小组合作的方式,生生互动,并通过任务驱动,有效地鼓励学生在真实的情景中运用所学语言,让学生在大胆实践和积极参与的过程中,培养其积极的情感态度和自主学习能力。
教学目标:
1、 知识与技能:
1) 能听懂,会说,会认读单词和词组Halloween/festival/give/mask/scary/neighbor/
night/trick or treat
2) 能听懂,会说,会认读句子:--Halloween is an autumn festival in the UK.
--It’s really fun.
--Children go to neighbour’s houses and ask, “Trick or treat ”
3)能理解课文内容,通过阅读获取万圣节的主要信息。
4)学生能够在图文或场景下能进行简单的英语交流和表演,能听懂和运用所学目标语句谈论其他节日,并能描述出自己最喜欢的节日。
2、过程与方法:了解有关万圣节的知识,在巩固语言知识的同时通过小组合作,活动等让学生敢于,乐于开口,积极参与交流,体验Halloween的一些习俗,并让学生在学习的过程中,培养他们的合作意识和竞争意识,充分挖掘教材所提供的学习资源,实现自由参与与创新。
3、情感与态度:乐于接触外国文化,体会中西方文化的异同,进而体会跨文化背景下学习语言的乐趣,培养学生积极的学习热情。
教学重点:
1)能听懂,会说,会认读单词和词组Halloween/festival/give/mask/scary/neighbor/
night/trick or treat
2)能听懂,会说,会认读句子:--Halloween is an autumn festival in the UK.
--It’s really fun.
--Children go to neighbors’ houses and ask, “Trick or treat ”
3) 能理解课文内容,通过阅读获取万圣节的主要信息。
教学难点:学生能依托文本阅读其他相关短文,并且能够在图文或场景下能进行简单的英语交流和表演,能听懂和运用所学目标语句谈论其他节日,并能描述出自己最喜欢的节日。
教学策略:
1)培养学生抓关键词句阅读的习惯。
2)培养孩子积极思考,乐于提问的习惯。
3)培养孩子认真倾听,以听促说的好习惯。
教学资源: 教学光盘、单词卡片、挂图、练习纸, ,磁铁,幻灯片等 。

【设计意图】:小学生生性好动,注意力易发生转移。课堂伊始利用30秒不间断的头脑风暴游戏,激发学生的兴趣,培养学生语言思维能力的开放性。在高密度,大容量,限时的情况下最大限度的激活学生的旧知,为新知学习做铺垫。

【设计意图】:本节课的话题是西方节日万圣节,相当一部分学生不熟悉此节日,因此正式授课文内容之前以一首诡异的充满异域色彩的万圣节视频充分吸引学生的眼球,在此歌曲所营造的视觉震撼中极大程度地调动学生学习本课的积极性,迅速贴近今天的主题。并且激发学生的兴趣,为后文学生自主提问做铺垫。

【设计意图】:本环节将课堂所学有效延伸至课外,通过让学生猜教师最喜欢的节日,引出谈论自己最喜欢的节日需从五个方面入手。学生通过思考和四人小组合作交流,在小组合作交流汇报中体验到了合作竞争带来的收获与快乐,同时学生在老师的引导下进一步拓宽了思路,新旧知识相结合,将本节课推向了高潮。
5、Summary
