我们可以用动词不定式来说明宾语的情况,此时动词不定式在句中作宾语补足语。
动词不定式还可以在句中表示行为动作的目的,作目的状语。
动词不定式作宾语补足语
动词不定式来说明宾语的情况,此时动词不定式在句中作宾语补足语。结构为“谓语+宾语+宾语补足语(动词不定式)”。动词不定式作宾语补足语,有带to和不带to的两种形式。
动词不定式的用法
常跟带to的动词不定式作宾语补足语的动词有:ask, tell, order, invite, get, allow, wish, want, encourage, advise, warn, like, love, hate等。
e.g.
The policeman told the boys not to swim in the river.
The teacher asked the students to finish the homework on time.
不带to,及省略to的不定式作宾补的动词有:

动词接不定式作宾语补足语时,若要表达否定的意思,要在to do前加not, 构成not to do的形式。
注意
动词不定式做目的状语
如果表示“做某事是为了什么”,可以用动词不定式表示目的。在这种情况下,不定式既可以放在句首,也可以放在句尾。
e.g.
Daly trained hard to improve his basketball skills.
=To improve his basketball skills, Daly trained hard.
