教材分析:
本单元学习的主题是询问并回答某人是否正在做某事,以及谈论在一些公共场所的行为规范。A部分的版块是询问并回答某人是否正在做某事。本课是本单元的第二课时,同时也是学习现在分词的第五个课时,是在Unit 5 Whose dog is it B部分的基础上进一步学渗透现在进行时态。“Let’s learn”为词汇学习课,通过五个动词词组的-ing形式来进一步学习如何询问并回答某些人是否正在做某事。“Look and say”为以上知识的应用。
学情分析:
本册Unit5 Part B初步学习了现在进行时的一般疑问句,并在本单元第一课时中初步学习了如何询问并回答某些人是否正在做某事,本课将在此基础上进一步学习如何询问并回答某些人是否正在做某事。五年级学生两极分化的现象比较突出。不少同学乐于学习,思维活跃,有较好的学习习惯,;但也有不少同学厌倦学习,或是学习方法不当,或是学习习惯较差,书写不规范,积年累月,致使学习基础薄弱。
教学目标:
知识与能力目标:
1. 通过学习,学生能够听、说、读、写五个动词词组的现在分词: doing morning exercises, having …class, eating lunch, reading a book, listening to music;
2. 学生通过学习,能够在语境中正确使用这些词组,描述某人正在做某事;
3. 在情境中,学生能够运用句型What is …doing He/She/…is …或What are they doing They’re …询问并回答某人是否正在做某事。

1、学生能够在教师的帮助下总结动词现在分词的结构和用法,完成相应练习;

教学过程:
Step 1 Warm up
1、吹气球
出示play_____, 学生根据预习说出有关play 的短语,随着学生说的词语越来越多,气球逐渐变大。Eat, go, read, do, have也是同样的玩法,到最后have结束后,气球会爆炸。
