The main topic of this unit is to talk about “personal traits and compare people”. This lesson is the second period. This kind of topic is close to students’ daily life, so all
the activities in this unit are helpful to raise learning interest of students.

1).Target language:(sb / sth)+ be +形容词比较级 + than +….
2).Key vocabularies:
tall-taller, thin- thinner, nice-nicer, funny- funnier,
outgoing - more outgoing,
2. Ability aims:
1).Learn to listen to the key words.
2).Learn to make the description.
3. Moral aims:
1).Enable students to understand--Handsome is that handsome does.
2).Enable students to take more care of others around them .

Analysis of Students
The students in my class are all from the country-
side.They haven’t learned English for quite a long time. But they can communicate with each other in simple English and most students are interest-
ed in learning English. In this class ,we talked
about “personal traits and compare people” . The students were very active to express their ideas.
Teaching and studying methods
As we know: the main instructional aims of learning English is to cultivate students’ basic abilities of listening , speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson , I mainly used Task-based Teaching Method ,Group Study Method and Practice Method.That is to say, I let the students get a better understanding of the key structures.

Blackboard Writing Design
In this lesson,I tried to make students learn by read-
ing ,listening ,and practicing .Students learned the
key and difficult language points by finishing the
tasks.I also arranged individual work, pair work and group work to practice .Students were willing to
learn, speak and write. I think they can improve their listening and writing skills and spoken English in class .But it’s a pity that not all the students took part in the class activities.So I should work harder.
