四、 授课课时:共一课时 40分钟
五、 教材分析:
The content comes from the first unit of 7A Oxford English, Shenzhen Edition. The title is Making friends. This unit is chiefly about how to introduce oneself and how to write a letter to a penfiend. We have learnt the key words and the sentence patterns from the reading passage. So the listening part won’t be as difficult as others, and I decide to spend more time on the speaking part---How to describe one person to prepare for the listening part. To describe one person, I plan to do individual work, pair work and group work, so the students can use the key works and sentence patterns many times to master them better. And then, the students will do listening and comparing to master how to describe one person logically and effectively.
六、 教学目标
1. Knowledge aims: Enable the Ss to learn and then master the following language points:
Important words:

2. Ability aims:
① Enable the Ss to communicate by using the things learnt in class and outside.
② Enable the Ss to understand how to introduce oneself.
③ Enable the Ss to write a letter to a penfriend.
④Enable the Ss to compare their letter with the letter in the text book and find the differences.
⑤To cultivate students' abilities of discovering, analyzing and solving problems, and of thinking independently.
⒊ Moral aims: ①Enable the Ss to love their friends and establish harmonious relationship between each other.
② Enable the Ss to learn how to cooperate with others by solving with problems with others.
七、 教学重点与难点
1. Key Points:How to focus on the one topic : Find one suitable friend for Sandy; How to guide students to use the learnt languages to communicate with others.
2. Difficult Points: How to communicate effectively and express their own idea logically and frequently.
八、 教学方式
1. ?Communicative teaching method----Take the students as the center of learning and create real communicative situation for students to communicate and to share their opinions in order to train their abilities of speaking, communicating, thinking and cooperating with others. 2. Topic-based teaching method----Create some topics according to the main topic and guide the students to communicate and share their opinions with others. 3. Task-based teaching method----Ask students to use what they learnt in class or outside to solve the problems through discussion. 4. ?The teaching means are varied, including letter cards, pictures, tape-recorder, flash, and multi-media, which can stimulate the students' different senses and is helpful to the comprehension of the material and to call the Ss' initiatives.

十、 教学过程
Preparation:
Find out some interesting pictures and the song You and Me.
Buy some books as the presents.
Divide the whole class into 9 groups according to their seats.
Prepare a toy named Sandy and a call and clasps for counting.
Prepare the listening material and a tape recorder.
Prepare for the students’ self-evaluation.

StepⅠ Greeting(1′):
(1)The teacher and the students greet each other.
(2)The teacher tells the students to have a competition and the rules (Girls’ group & Boys’ group).
To arouse students' interest and to cheer up the studying atmosphere in class.

StepⅡ Leading-in(2′):
(1)Listen to the music You and Me
(2)The teacher introduces Sandy to the students and tell Sandy’s problem (He feels lonely. And he needs a friend.) to the students.
(3)The teacher advocates helping Sandy and being his friend.
To lead in the lesson, to arouse students' interest and to cheer up the learning atmosphere in class; to prepare for the following task.
StepⅢ Individual work(3′):
(1)The teacher asks what the students want to know about Sandy, and make a list about the different aspects.
(2)The students think it over and list out the aspects by themselves.
To train and even enhance students' abilities of thinking independently and summarizing logically through thinking making a list; to encourage the students to speak English; to prepare for the following task.
StepⅣ Pair work(5′):
(1)The teacher asks the students to make a call to Sandy according to their own list.
(2)The teacher picks out two or three partners to do it after 1 minute’ preparation.
(3)The teacher gives some commendations for their presentation.

StepⅤ Group work(8′)::
(1)The teacher divides the whole class in to 9 groups, six people one group.
(2)The teacher asks the students to introduce themselves by both spoken and written according to the hints given on the PPT.
(3)The teacher chooses one member of each group to do their introduction one by one after 2 minutes’ preparation.
(4)The teacher gives some commendations for their presentation.

StepⅥ Discussion(3′):
(1)The teacher asks the students to decide who is the most suitable friend for Sandy according to their self introduction.
(2)The teacher picks out two or three students to tell us their opinions and reasons.
(3)The teacher gives some commendations for their presentation.

To train and even enhance students' abilities of speaking and cooperating with others through preparing the discussion; to lead students to use the important words and phrases and sentence patterns actively and correctly; to encourage the students to speak English; to prepare for the following task.
StepⅦ Listening(11′):
(1) Firstly, the teacher tells the students there are also six children who want to be Sandy’s friend. And we have their information.
(2)Next, the students listen to the tape of the short passage for three times. The first time for finding out the key words, the second time for filling in the blanks, the third time for correcting the mistakes.
(3)Optional---And then, the students read after the tape.
(4)Ask the students to choose the best one from the listening material to be Sandy’s friend.
To train and even enhance students' abilities of finding out the key words and listening and speaking through imitating the intonation and speed of the reading material in the tape; to encourage the students to speak English; to prepare for the following task.
StepⅧ Comparison(5′):
(1)The teacher asks the students to compare the best one’s listening material in the text book with their own written introduction.
(2)The teacher asks some students to tell us the similarities and the differences between the two short articles after 2 minutes’ preparation.
(3)Optional---If the best one is one student, the teacher had better ask him or her to make a speech about his/ her feeling.
(4)The teacher gives some commendations for their presentation.
(5)Conclude the whole class to find out the two winners: Boys or Girls and Group X, and give them some presents, and ask the students to do self-evaluation.
To train and even enhance students' abilities of expressing their opinion expertly in English; to train the students’ abilities of analyzing two things of the same category; to encourage the students to speak English; to prepare for the homework part.

StepⅨ Homework(2′):
Rewrite the letter from you to Sandy, introducing yourself to be his friend.
Preview the language part carefully.
To help the students review what they have learned in the class; to train the students’ abilities of correcting themselves; to train the students’ abilities of listening and speaking and reading and writing; to help the students master the main words and phrases and sentence patterns; to help the students master the form of writing a letter.
