一、教学目标
(一)知识目标
1.学生能听懂、会说并认读下列单词:Christmas,December,together,Santa,bring,sack,bag
2.学生能听懂会说并认读句子What do you usually do at Christmas 并运用We get together\have a dinner\sing Christmas songs\get presents from Santa.进行回答。
(二)能力目标
学生能在真实语言情景中用What do you usually do at Christmas 询问圣诞节活动并用We…进行回答,让学生在真实语言情景中体味英语,运用英语.
(三)情感目标
1.学生敢于乐于张口说英语,形成良好的学习策略。
2.学生树立起合理分配时间,劳逸结合的观念,培养热爱生活的情感。

课件呈现有关圣诞节的背景文化知识。
Christmas is a western festival. People don’t work. Children don’t go to school. They often travel. They have a two-weeks holiday. They send cards to their friends. They also help the poor. Parents often pretend to be Santa and give presents to their children. They tell stories about Christmas.
2.When is Christmas Do you know学生可能用汉语说:12月25.师肯定学生的回答说:对。It’s December 25.与此同时,教师展示一张日历表,标注12月25号,此处强化单词December。(对于December的教学教师也可以采取分音节的形式来降低难度)。
T: Christmas is an important festival in western. Just like the Spring Festival.
T: Christmas is coming, Jenny got a Christmas card from Lucy.(课件出示一张圣诞卡片)they're talking about Christmas together.
3.听音,让学生整体感知课文内容,并回答问题课件呈现问题:

What do you usually do at Christmas
Do you get presents
4.At Christmas, we can do many things. 教师通过课件展示几张有关圣诞节的图片,最后出现礼物,Do you get presents 学生说Yes/No. How about our friends
Do they get presents 学生第二遍听课文,根据学生的回答来处理Santa和sack和bag,Santa的处理,They got presents from Santa.(出示圣诞老人图片)教学Santa=Father Christmas.
Santa is very kind. He has a sack,do you know sack Look,oh ,It's beautiful,it's a big bag( (可以通过课件展示图片来帮助学生理解记忆sack.)
He brings toys in his sack.
4.听音跟读课文。
Read and imitate. 小组读课文, 教师巡回指导
Step 4. Practice.
1.Let’s show: 小组展示朗读课文,教师及时评价。
完成课本Let’s talk.部分。同桌一问一答,what do you usually do at Christmas 巩固操练句型。(这里教师可以给学生充足的时间结合前面的问句what do you usually do at Christmas 进行简单的操练。)
在这一环节,教师通过板书人物头像辅助学生完成这个练习,学生更容易操作,更好理解,情境更真实一些。
Step 5. Production.
1、What do they do at Christmas in Australia 教师引导学生观看澳大利亚人们如何过圣诞节,然后让学生分组进行交流,Make a survey.
2、In different countries we can do different things, before our class we find more. Please make a survey in groups.将学生课前调查不同国家的圣诞节习俗,课堂上现场分组,谁想去美国过圣诞节?谁想去英国过圣诞节?Which country do you want to visit What do you do at Christmas in this country 分好组后,组员利用第一人称进行介绍,可以每人介绍一句,然后组员展示:教师可以询问学生:What do they do at Christmas in ...... 其它学生回答:“They …at Christmas.”可以锻炼一下学生的倾听能力。
Step 5. Summary.
让学生看板书,跟老师重复本堂课的重点内容。
文化渗透
圣诞节是西方的传统文化节日,我们中国也有许多传统文化节日,如春节、元宵节、端午节、中秋节lantern[英][ l nt n]等(课件出示这些节日热闹的图片)最后出示一句:We should know more about them.We should love them.(了解传统文化,热爱传统节日)
