【教学内容分析】
本模块第二单元以“记者采访周末打算做什么?”为话题。本单元是通过采访谈论周末生活,提倡丰富业余生活,锻炼学生的语言表达能力,并培养学生的课外兴趣意识。通过本单元的听说活动,给学生提供充足的体验和运用语言的机会。
【学情分析】
本课针对小学三年级学生。学生年龄较小,求知欲好奇心强。本模块谈论周末计划做什么,学生兴趣爱好广泛,亲身体会比较多,容易调动学生的积极性,激发学生的学习兴趣。
【设计理念】本节课力求设计成集口语与练习为一体的英语听说课,体现英语新课标的核心理念。在本节课教师打破传统讲练教学模式,以小组合作探究的方式,并利用大量的视频、音频为学生说英语创造语境;本课以学生为中心,教师为主导,培养学生的自主学习能力,感悟英语文化的博大精深。
Unit 2
What are you going to see
【教学目标】
Knowledge objective
To master some words and expressions, like ‘visit, Saturday, film’.
Ability objective
To understand a conversation about “what are you going to do on Saturday “.
Moral objective
To know “how to make weekend more enjoyable and wonderful ”
【教学重难点】
1. To learn and review some words and expressions:
Visit, Saturday, film, play football, dance, do the high jump.
2. To learn how to develop interests.
【教学方法】
PWP method, task-based method and interactive approach
【教具准备】
A tape recorder, multimedia and some pictures
【教学过程】
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Warming up
Sing a song “what are you going to do today ” students stand up, sing the song and clap hands together.
Step 2 Leading-in
Show a picture of a park. Look at the pictures and students talk about what are you going to see Use the sentences to answer “I’m going to see flowers, trees, grasses, birds.” To lead in the subject “What are you going to see ”
Step 3 Learn some new words
1. Show a map of China.
2. To find our hometown Guilin.
3. Students guess where is the teacher going to travel The teacher is going to visit Beijing. The teacher is going to visit Hong Kong. To learn the first new word “visit”.
4. To learn the new word “Saturday”. What’s more, students should know the seven days of a week.
5. Show a picture of a cinema, and we can see many cartoons like Kong Fu panda, Monkey king in the cinema. They are films.
Step 4 Consolidate new words
Play a game called “golden eyes”. When the apples are falling down, look at the pictures of new words and let the students to say as quickly as possible.
Step 5 Learn the dialogue
1. Listen to the dialogue and choose the correct answer, the text says “what are you going to do on Saturday or on Sunday ”.
2. Listen and repeat, and then complete the mind map
3. Students read the dialogue together, and make a dialogue with partners.
Step 6 Work in pairs
Work with classmates, one asks” what are you going to do on Saturday ” and another answer “I’m going to ….”
Step 7 Knowledge extension
To watch a video about “weekend activities in foreign countries. ”
Step 8 Work in groups.
1. Four students are a group, one is a reporter. The reporter asks “what are you going to do on weekend What are you going to see ” other students answer the questions.
2. Show your group plays in front of the platform.
Step 9 Summary
1. Ask students “What have we learnt today.”
2. Read the key word and important sentences together.
3. We should learn “the world is so big, we should go out and find some beautiful things.”
