教材分析 The More practice & Culture corner section of Unit 1, Encyclopedias, introduces an article “Australia’s big attractions” and an introduction of Encyclopaedia Britannica. From these part we learnt some new words and phrases. We master how to get information in an encyclopaedia. This part aims at extending students reading materiala and review the reading skills we’ve learnt.
学习目标与核心素养 Knowledge objective: 了解单词attraction, harbour, merino, type, view等。能根据上下文，猜测attraction, merino等单词的意思。Ability objective: 1. We can recognize the big attractions in Australia.2. Get to know something about “Encyclopaedia Britannica”.Emotional objective: Learn something about foreign cultures.Thinking quality objective: Recognize the importance of learning foreign cultures.
重点 Get the main idea of the passage “Australia’s big attractions”.
