This lesson is about grammar. It plays a very important role in this unit. By studying the grammar, Ss can know more about the simple present tense(Because we have learned the tense before in this unit.), grasp it further and use it correctly . I think it can help them improve their ability of using English.

Teaching theories
Before dealing with this lesson, I did my best to carry out the following theories: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher herself acts as a director. How can I make the students learn happily and quickly I think interest is the best teacher.We should use the text book to teach, but not teach the text book.So during the course of teaching, I design as interesting methods as I can.For example, in order to make them interested in the boring grammar, I use a very interesting cartoon called Pleasant Goat and Big Big wolf which is familiar to all the students to carry on my teaching .It is proved that it′s a good way.Because it starts a relaxing,happy and active atmosphere.

Learning strategies
Guided by the idea to“Strengthen the psychological ability, and lighten the psychological burden of the students”,I begin with desire to cultivate a good relation between me and the students, inspire their interest to learn,and lead them to explore actively, discover and solve the problems by themselves.Students are centered as the principal part in the teaching procedure with the help of the teacher.

Step一. Warm-up Students look at the screen and enjoy the song Pleasant Goat and Grey Wolf. If possible,let them sing along with it. Students are familiar with the cartoon and interested in it.they sing the song to the music happily. Method:useWatch-and-listen activity. Purpose: Arouse their interest of study. Start a happy and relaxing atmosphere.
Step二. Presentation(Simple present tense of the verb ‘to be’) Show some pictures about Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf and let them describe these lovely goats. For example:1.Who is he He's Tiger. Is he slim No he isn't. Is he strong Yes he is.2.This is LangYangyang. I think he is fat and lazy. He is very lovely,too. Method: Use question—and—answer activity, pair work and individual work.Purpose: Present Simple present tense of the verb‘to be', let them speak freely using this tense.
Step三. Introduction Let them introduce themselves or describe their friends.2. Ask students to talk about the rules of Simple present tense of the verb‘to be’. For example:I am 14 years old.I am tall and slim.Mary is my good friend.She is polite and helpfulThey are my classmates.they are nice. We are friendly to each other. Students find the rules of Simple present tense of the verb‘to be’. Method: Have them do pair work,and during this period, I put up some cards on the Bd.There are‘I am,She/He is, We/They/You are on the cards.Purpose : Arouse their attention, make them notice the verbs‘am, is, are’,let the students find the rules of Simple present tense of the verb ‘to be’ by themselves .
Ste四.Exercise Finish Part A using the right forms of ‘be’. Check the answer together . Students use the verb of ‘be’ correctly. Method: Use question—and—answer activity.Purpose :Know how to use the verbs ‘am, is, are’correctly.
Step五. Presentation(Simple present tense of the verb ‘to do’) 1.Show some pictures , let them talk about what they do in the pictures .2.Then watch a video.Ask them to talk about what other things they do . For example:He likes sleeping./He sleeps.2.They like playing./They play. etc.For example:1. This is LangYangyang.He likes singing.He sometimes plays the guitar.2. They are Grey wolf and Red wolf.They like going fishing. Etc. Method: Use question—and—answer activity, individual work. Purpose:Not only the pictures but also the videos are amazing. This step lets them learn something about Simple present tense of the verb ‘to do’without any pressure.
Step六. Do pair work Ask them to make dialogues talking about their after-school activities.2. Help students find the rules of Simple present tense of the verb ‘to do’ . For example:1. A: What do you often do after school B: I like helping mother do housework. What about you A: I like watching TV.2. A: What do you and your friends do B: We often play football. We sometimes play computer games,too. Etc.Students find the rules of Simple present tense of the verb ‘to do’ . Method:Pair work Purpose : Improve their ability of using Simple present tense of the verb ‘to do’ . Lead them to explore actively, discover and solve the problems by themselves.What's more, I mean to give them emotional education. By pair work , make the Ss love their friends and love their life .
Ste七.Exercises Let them finish parts B and C . and then check the answers together . Students try their best to finish the exercises, because they know the rules, they do it quickly and correctly. Method:Free discussionPurpose :Further understand the tense of the verb ‘to do’ .Train further ability.
Step八. A story 1.Let Ss enjoy a story ‘Rabbits and a wolf’ . 2.Ask Ss to act out the story in groups . Because of the great interest in the story, students are glad to act the story.They take active part in the performance. Method:useWatch-and-listen activity,Free discussion method,and pair work.Purpose :After a long time learning, they must be tired.A story may help them relax.As for the performance,I think it is a good chance for the students. They can not only use the tense that we have learned today freely,but also show us their talents. The show must bring all of us much happiness.
Step九. Homework Fill in the blanks with the correct words . Check if they grasp Simple present tense .

英语的语法教学通常是非常枯燥无味的,学生们不愿意学,老师们厌烦着教。如何改变这种状况 我认为充分利用多媒体,有效地调动学生们的学习兴趣,变无趣为有味,是解决这一问题好办法。这节课,我使用了多样的教学手段,尤其是多媒体的有效运用,让乏味的语法充满趣味,让紧张的气氛变得轻松,让英语课堂洋溢着欢乐,让孩子们积极地思考,让他们争先恐后地去表现,让他们尽情释放属于他们自己的快乐。我很高兴我能让英语的语法课堂high起来!
