Unit 2 My favourite season
(1) Enable students to listen, speak, read and write
“season, spring, summer, autumn, winter”.
(2)Understand the characters of the four seasons and describe activities of the four seasons.
(3)Enable students to use the sentences correctly
Listen, speak, read and write “Which season do you like best Summer. I can go swimming everyday.”
(4)Complete the the practice "Read and match" .
(5)Tell students: love the nature , love our life ,protect our environment.
To understand and describe characteristics and activities of the four seasons.
Step 1: Free talk
Teacher say hello to students and introduce each other.
Through asking students some questions :what’s your favourite teacher/food/fruit/day/season
to leads to the topic of the class “my favourite season ”.
Step 2: Presentation (Present the words).
T:How many seasons are there in a year
Ss:4
T:What are they Let’s go and find them.
PPT shows the four pictures of the seasons.
By listening, watching to guess the season ,
teacher introduce the characteristics of them.
Step 3 Practice
listen and read.
Game: guess the words.
Chant: Spring is green with flowers and snow.
Summer is hot and the days are long .
Autumn is golden and farmers are busy.
Winter is white and the year is gong.
Step 4 Presentation (Present the sentences).
T: There are four seasons in a year.However,different
seasons have different characteristic.
Which season do you like best

(write it on the blackboard and teach students to read)
Step 5 Practice the sentences
Encourage students to ask the teacher.
The teacher asks several students.
Ask in groups.
Step 6 consolidation
PPT shows the little story “a frog on the bottom of well”.(to present the seasons and the activities of them).
Teacher listed some activities of the seasons.
Game : Interview(I am a reporter)

Learn to sing a song: What’s your favourite season
Emotional education :educate students love the nature , love our life ,protect our environment.
Through Multi-Media to present the beauty of the season and the features of them . It can help students to understand it much better. I take “free talk” to lead the topic and shorten the distance of the relationship between teachers and students.
Aiming to provide an enjoyable and effective English learning experience for young learners, I used a variety of interactive teaching methods such as singing songs, playing games and telling stories.
