Where is the library 教学设计
一．教材分析
1．本课主要学习关于问路与指路的短语，并要求学生能绘制简单的地图。
2．学习本单元，能让学生提高英语水平，并激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
二．学情分析
我校五年级学生，虽然已经是学过了两年的英语，但却连最基本的一些交际用语都不会用，一句: “Good morning \afternoon!”说的也挠舌，有些学生连回答: “What’s your name, please ”这样一个问题都要考虑许久，甚至大部分的学生把英文字母当拼音来念……班上大部分的学生对于英语都处于十分迷茫的状态。我们的学生还有以下一些问题需要解决。
1、学习兴趣不是很高，部分学生甚至有厌恶感，同时，许多学生还是为学习而学习，谈不上兴趣问题；
2、部分学生学习的目的性不是很强。老师布置的作业不能按时完成，回家看书也只是应付家长，作为语言性学科，听与读是非常关键的环节，而大多数学生。
三.教学目标
1、语言知识目标
（1）能听懂并会说短语：go straight , turn left ,turn right , close by , over there , not far away
（2）能听懂并会说句型： where is the ...... Can you show me the way
2、语言技能与目标
(1) 能根据图片说出短语。
（2）能更具设置的情景进行简单的英语交流。
3、情感态度目标
（1）培养学生积极主动参与活动，乐于模仿，敢于开口的精神。
（2）继续培养学生在日常生活中使用文明礼貌语言的习惯。
四.教学重点和难点
1. 教学重点：运用目标语，准确流利的向他人问路及指明方向。
2. 教学难点：准确运用所学短语指明方向。
五.教学过程
（一） Warm up
1 Greetings
2 Revision and lead-in(通过多媒体显示图书馆的图画)
T: What’s this Ps: It’ a library .
T: What shape is it Ps: It’ a round.
T: Do you like it Ps: Yes. I like it .It’s funny.
同上，再一一显示 bookstore , supermarket , mall, park , beach 。
T: Boys and girls. Now if you are in a new city. You’re going to the zoo .But you don’t now the way. What should you do
Ps: We should ask the way to the zoo.
T: Yes .You is right .We should ask the way to the zoo politely
（二） Presentation
1 T: Excuse me . Where is the library (解释生字 way :路)
T: If you are going to the park, you should ask......
2 a. T: then, how to answer this question
领读 go straight 三遍。
3．It is close by .It is over there.(显示：close by附近。over there 在那里）
(三） Practice
a .Role play
Ask four pairs to the platform to act according to their city map, Praise the pairs which can finish the task.
b .Have a match: Who is the best guide Chose one pupil from each team ,Then answer the question
one after one :
Excuse me, Where is the library .....
(Each time John is at the different place.)
At last, choose the best guide.
学生积极回答问题,由于本课的对话牵涉到许多这样的地点名词，因此学生对它们的熟练程度直接影响到对话练习能否顺利进行，避免了对话练习时对这些词的复习，节约了时间由复习引入新课。(通过角色表演，完成对话，体验成功，增强自信，激发兴趣。）( 这两步通过设置不同情景，提高了学生用英语沟通的能力。
c.呈现课文对话内容，并带领组织学生读课文
(四)．巩固提高：
1.以小组的形式练习对话内容
2.模拟场景，用所学重点短语和语句编排对话
六．总结：
总结本单元的重点句型，并会使用。
