Lesson Objectives
At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1. understand the meaning of the text
2. remember the mastery vocabulary (pen, pencil, pencil box, ruler, eraser, blackboard, guess, first)
3.find and use the list of mastery vocabulary in Lesson 8
Class Opening and Review
GREETING
Say Good morning/afternoon, class. How are you today Encourage the class to answer Fine, thanks/thank you. How are you You say Fine, thanks/thank you.
PLAY "MEMORY CARD"
Use this game, if you have time, to review the vocabulary words classroom, office, playground, library, lab
New Concepts
1. pen, pencil, pencil box, ruler, eraser, blackboard.
DEMONSTRATE
Use a variety of methods to introduce the new vocabulary. For example, demonstrate with actions,
show objects, draw pictures, point to pictures on your poster, give examples or use vocabulary cards. Write each word on the blackboard and point to it while
you, and then the class, say it a few times.

Ask the students to look at the picture of the classroom. How many things can they name in English
Play the audiotape as the students follow in their student books.
PLAY "WHAT'S IT "
Play it in pairs or small groups to practice the new vocabulary, as well as the old vocabulary: pen, pencil, pencil box, ruler, eraser, blackboard, classroom, office, playground, library, lab.

GUESSING GAME:
First show an example. Then play it in pairs, practice the new vocabulary

Ss: It’s a blackboard!
T: Yes, you are right! Now it’s your turn.
Practice the question and answer with the class. For example, point to pictures or objects in the room at random and say Is this a __
Encourage the class to answer Yes or No as they nod or shake their heads.
