教学内容 It is a writing lesson focused on the topic of healthy lifestyle, so we will learn to write about our lifestyle. Such a topic is related to our daily life, so it is easy to arouse the Ss’ learning interest. In this lesson, I will involve the students in my class by some activities such as brainstorming, cross puzzle, survey to help them learn how to write a good article.
教学目标 1. Knowledge aim: (1)To revise the words about food and lifestyle.(2)To remember and learn to use the phrases and useful sentences such as be good for; need to do ; help sb. do sth….(3) To learn the structure of writing. 2. Ability aim:(1)To be able to talk about one’s own lifestyle. (2)To be able to write an article about healthy lifestyle.3. Moral aim: To enable the students to know that a healthy lifestyle+ a healthy diet + happy every day = a happy you.
教学重难点 1. Train students’ four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.2. Let students know how to write an article in the correct structure and learn to write about their lifestyle.
教学策略 1、Task-based teaching methodTask-based teaching can help students understand the main idea of the text and help them find out the correct structure of writing.2、Cooperative language learning method and activity-based teaching methodIt is very important for students to involve in the English class. Some activities such as brainstorming, cross puzzle, survey and peer work can arouse students’ interest and make the class active.

Step 1Lead -in 2mins ◇Show the students an English video called An apple a day .(1min) Watch the video and know the idiom an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Video and picture can stimulate the students’ interest and pave the way for the next step.
◇Show a picture of a fat batman .(1min) Guess the reason why batman is fat.(an unhealthy lifestyle and diet)
Step 2Presentation 10 mins ◇Brainstorming(3mins) Show pictures of food batman eats everyday. Let’s play a game to see if you have a good memory. Divide the students into five groups and each group has a small task. Look at the pictures and complete the table of different kinds of food. Brainstorming and cross puzzle can help students revise the words of food which can be used in their writing. Making dialogue helps students have a general idea of his/her lifestyle. It is a good preparation for their writing.
◇Cross puzzle (1minute) Have a test if you are familiar with the plete the cross puzzle and they can find a secret word “HEALTHY”.
◇Make a survey(6mins) Do you think health is very important to us Do you have a healthy lifestyle I am a reporter from Teenagers’ magazine and I want to make a survey. Find a student to make a dialogue with me. Ask the other students to make a dialogue in pairs like the model. Make a dialogue with their partner according the model on PowerPoint.
Step 3Analyzing the text 15mins ◇Listening (5mins)Listen to Simon’s description about his lifestyle paragraph by paragraph and try to fill in the blanks. Listen to the record and fill in the blanks. Analyze the text can help the students know how to write the article. Retelling the text can help the students better use the third person singular and they can have a general idea of how to write about their lifestyle.
◇Analysis(5mins)Read the passage together and pay attention to its structure—“Hobby, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner”Highlight the important phrases and sentences. Know the structure of the article.
◇ Retell(5mins) Try to say something about Simon’s lifestyle by yourselves. Try to retell the text in third person.
Step 4Writing 18mins ◇Remind them the structure of writing.◇Give a list of useful sentences. (1min) Make preparation for writing. Peer work can be easily accepted by students and they can be more active and learn more through this.
◇Writing (13mins) Ask four students to go to the blackboard and each student writes one paragraph. The other students write the article on their notebook. ◇Writing
◇Peer work (5mins)Encourage them to work in pairs to learn something from each other’s writing. ◇Correct the mistakes of the students’writing on the blackboard and encourage the students to make comments.◇Check and correct each other’s mistakes.
Step5 Conclusion A healthy lifestyle+ a healthy diet + happy every day = a healthy you! Sublimate the topic of this lesson and realize its moral aim.
Homework 1. Look for more information about healthy lifestyle on the Internet or in the library. 2. Write a passage about your friend’s diet and lifestyle.
Blackboard design I will divide the blackboard into two parts. In the above part, I will write important phrases. In the other part, there are four paragraphs written by four students and we will correct them together.
教学反思:
新课标倡导教师在进行任务型教学中引导学生调整学习方式,提高学生的自主学习与合作学习的能力,所以我运用多样化的教学方法和生动活泼的教学活动,鼓励学生主动参与,培养学生的实践能力,从听说读写四个层面全面地对其进行训练。考虑到初一学生的学情,我将一些任务小步骤化,比如听力填词,与复述课文,我让学生分段进行,体现了“小台阶,大容量”的原则,并且在复述课文时,我没有让学生照原文复述,而是改用第三人称单数,即巩固了学生对单三的使用,又使学生在复述的同时对自己的生活方式有一定的框架。在写作过程中由于有了前面多个子任务的铺垫,学生们学以致用,这项写作任务-同时也是本节课、本单元的中心任务,对于大多数学生而言并不太难,学生通过合作和教师的帮助都能顺利完成。在此基础上,教师引导小组同学互评,教师也参与点评,这一形式学生容易接受,教学效果也较好。而本课结尾A healthy lifestyle + a healthy diet + happy every day = a happy you! 将本课的情感目标体现出来,并且将主题升华,与本节课开头的视频An apple a day 首尾呼应。
