这是人教版新课标模块6第5单元阅读部分的一篇科普文章。学生在高二上学期学到这篇科普类文章。内容是一位火山学家对自己的工作经历和工作内容的介绍。在新课程的核心理念“为了每一位学生的发展”的指导下,我将课堂教学的重心从教师的“教”尽量转向学生的“学”。从片面地注重知识传授转变到注重学生阅读、表达能力的培养。以任务型阅读为主要方法处理课文,通过组织小组阅读来回答文章问题的形式促进学生合作学习的能力,让学生感受并了解火山学家如何用知识保护人类,降低损失。阅读后,我启发学生将汶川地震与课文联系起来,体现了人文关怀,培养学生爱国爱民的思想。在活动中,为培养学生的创新思维,我要求学生从地震专家、建筑设计师、心理学家、和医护工作者等方面给出建议:如何预防或降低人类在地震中的损失。正如我国教育家陶行知先生所说,“活的人才教育不是灌输知识,而是将开发文化宝库的钥匙,尽我们所知道的交给学生。”建立以学生为中心,以活动为中心,互动的教学模式,使得这堂课受到了预期的教学效果。学生反应较为热烈。课堂气氛始终比较活跃。
但是,这堂课也有不尽如人意的地方。首先,在课文理解环节中,我的问题数目略多,层次不够分明,使得学生对课文产生了惧意,不确定自己是否找到的就是正确答案。也就不敢开口回答问题。所以我将问题数目减少到5个。尽量采取课文原句,降低问题难度,适合班里大多数学生的英文水平。其次,在火山喷发的视频使用上,我原本将视频安排在读后的活动中,想让学生讨论火山喷发时的情景,进而促使学生对火山学家工作的重要性有所认识。但是由于时间的关系,讨论部分没有完全展开。而原本本课开始时采用的导入(汶川地震)不直接,耗时长。所以我将火山喷发的视频放到课文导入部分,直接由视频导入,开门见山直奔主题。将汶川地震改为课后话题,引导学生以不同的职业提出不同的建议来减轻地震给人类带来的伤害。
教师应该是资源的开发者,新课程不仅是教科书,还包括由其他教学材料(如网络资源)、教师与学生、教学情景、教学环境等构成的一种生态系统。课程已经不只是“文本课程”,而更是“体验课程”。每一位师生对给定的内容都有自身的解读,使给定的内容转化为“自己的课程”,把教学过程变为学生与教师共同参与课程开发的过程。这堂课就会取得不错的教学效果。
