设计说明
本课采用practicing,listening for specific information等学习策略,利用情境来开展课堂pair work和group work等活动,使学生学会介绍自己和询问他人姓名的基本句型:My name is...,I’m...,What’s your/his/her name ,My/His/Her name is...,进一步促进学生之间的相互了解,使学生在轻松、愉快的学习氛围中结识新伙伴,增进友谊。本节课设计较多的活动,以便调动学生参与课堂活动的积极性。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握新单词:name,nice,to,meet,too,your,Ms. ,his,and,her。
(2)掌握句型:—Hi. My name’s Gina.
—I’m Jenny. Nice to meet you!
—Nice to meet you,too!
—What’s your/his/her name
—My/His/Her name is...
2. 能力目标:
(1)学会打招呼、介绍自己和询问他人姓名的基本句型。
(2)培养学生结交新朋友的能力。
(3)能了解以下语法:
your,his,her等形容词性物主代词的简单用法;what’s=what is,I’m=I am,name’s=name is,He’s=He is等缩写形式。
3. 情感目标:
培养学生探求信息的兴趣和欲望及积极参与语言实践活动的意识,使学生与同伴团结协作,友好相处,礼貌待人。
重点难点
1. 重点:
使学生学会介绍自己、询问他人姓名的基本句型及其回答:My name is...,I’m...,What’s your/his/her name ,My/His/Her name is...;培养学生结交新朋友的能力。
2. 难点:
区分her与she,he与his的用法。准确地用英语介绍自己、询问他人姓名。

教具:单词卡片、录音机、磁带和多媒体课件
教学过程
Step 1 Leading in
1. Play the flash,and enjoy the alphabet song. Get the students to sing together.
2. Play a guessing game.
Teacher:What’s this in English
:It’s a/an...
3. Ask the students to look at the picture in 1a and see how many words they know and make a list in groups. The teacher can give the class some advice if necessary. Then check the answers.
Answers:bag,book,basketball,ruler,cup,key,cap,orange,notebook...
4. Give the students a few minutes to read and write the words on the list.
5. Translate the words into English and read the words in groups.

6. Read aloud the dialogue in 1a,and let the students imitate it.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Introduce yourself to the class and write the sentence structures on the blackboard,and then ask the students to follow you.
T:My name is...What’s your name
S:My name is.../I’m...
T:Nice to meet you!
S:Nice to meet you,too!
2. Ask the students to introduce themselves to the class,using the target language on the blackboard.
3. Ask the students to meet their friends in the class and greet each other.
Step 3 Listening
1. T:Now let’s listen to the tape,and number the conversation [1—3].
Play the recording for the first time,and the students only listen. Then play a second time. Ask them to number the conversations.
Answers:2,1,3
2. Ask the students to practice the conversations above with a partner. Then use their own names to practice.
3. Complete the conversation.
A:Hi. My name’s Gina.
B:I’m Jenny. Nice to meet you!
A:Nice to meet you,too.
Step 4 Practice
1. The students read the conversations in 1b again and make a new conversation with their partners.
2. Ask the students to share their conversations in class.
Step 5 Listening
1. Look at Picture 1 in 2a. Ask:What’s the boy’s name What’s the girl’s name
Play the recording for the first time. The students listen and answer the questions that the teacher asks.
Answers:Eric. ;Alice.
2. Play the recording a second time. The students number the pictures[1-4].
3. Check the answers.
Answers:3,1,2,4
4. Read the names in the box in 2b. Then play the recording for a third time. The students listen and circle the names they hear in the recording. Then check the answers.
Answers:Eric,Alice,Bob,Mike,Jack,Mary,Ms. Miller
Step 6 Practice
1. Learn the words:he,his,she,her.
2. T:Suppose you are new students in No. 1 Middle School. You are from different countries. You meet for the first time. Make up a dialogue in pairs.
Make a model dialogue with a student. Other students should listen carefully.

T:I’m...
:Nice to meet you!
T:What’s his name
:His name is...
T:And what’s her name
:Her name is...
3. Let all the students work in pairs. Practice the dialogue. Then ask some pairs to act out their dialogues.
Step 7 Language points
1. Nice to meet you!见到你很高兴!
Nice to meet you!是初次见面时的问候语,其答语是Nice to meet you,too. 。
2. My name’s Gina. 我的名字叫吉娜。
此句中my是形容词性物主代词(词类),在句中作定语(成分),其后须跟名词。此句的同义句是I’m Gina. 。
3. What’s your name 你叫什么名字?
此句是特殊疑问句(句式),其答语是My name’s.../I’m...。
Step 8 Summary
(Help the students to have a simple summary. )

答案与解析:
Ⅰ. 1. A 根据上下文情境判断 ,这是两人初次见面并互相自我介绍。自我介绍常用句型:I’m+名字. 。故选A。
2. D 由答句句意“我叫吉姆”可知上句应问对方的姓名。A项意为“你好!”,其答语为“How do you do ”,B项为一般疑问句,应用Yes或No来回答,C项意为“你好吗?”,其答语为“I’m fine/OK. Thanks. ”,B、C两项均不符合要求;D项意为“你叫什么名字?”,符合题意,选D。
3. D “Nice to meet you!”的答语通常是“Nice to meet you,too. ”。
4. C 由句意“简有一个新电子词典,她哥哥也有一个”可知此处表示“也”,故排除A、B两项;too常用于肯定句句末,而also常用于句中。故选C。

3. I 人称代词作主语,应用主格形式,my对应的主格为I。
4. you meet为动词,其后应接人称代词的宾格形式,在句中作宾语,your对应的宾格为you。
