设计说明
本课时应在复习特殊疑问句What’s your/his/her name 及其回答的基础上,重点学习一般疑问句Are you... ,Is he/she... 及其答语。语法主要涉及主格人称代词的用法及其与形容词性物主代词的区别,应在真实的情境中加以训练,并配以适当的练习,巩固它们的用法。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握新单词:yes,she,he,no,not。
(2)掌握含有be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句及其答语。
2. 能力目标:
能够正确使用含有be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句及其答语。
3. 情感目标:
(1)通过小组活动,培养学生的合作意识和团队精神。
(2)通过结交新朋友,学会如何礼貌地与他人交往。
重点难点
1. 重点:能区分并熟练运用he,she,his,her。
2. 难点:含有be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句及其答语。
教学准备
教具:多媒体课件、写有名字的卡片
教学过程
Step 1 Warming up and leading in
1. Ask the students to introduce themselves and their new friends like this:Hi,I’m...He’s/His name is...She’s/Her name is...
The teacher gives an example,and then gets the class to practice it in groups.
2. Learn the new words. Translate them into English.
是的;可以yes    她she    他he
不;没有;不是(adv. &adj. )no 不;没有(adv. )not
3. Ask one of the students:
Are you...
Is he...
Is she...
Help him or her to give an available answer(the student may nod or shake his/her head). So we can say:
点头“yes”,摇头“no”.
At the same time,write the target sentence structures on the blackboard
—Are you... —Yes,I am. /No,I’m not.
—Is he...
—Yes,he is. /No,he isn’t.
—Is she...
—Yes,she is. /No,she isn’t.
4. Practice reading until every student can say them correctly and fluently.
Step 2 Role-play
1. Ask the students to look at the picture in 2d. Then ask the students to read the dialogue by themselves and try to find out what their names are.
2. Divide the students into groups of four. Let them practice the dialogue in their groups.
3. Ask the students to act out the conversation in class and praise some students.
4. Explain the language points.
(1)Are you Helen 你是海伦吗?
该句是含有be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句,回答用yes或no。
(2)What’s her name 她叫什么名字?
her在这里是形容词性物主代词,修饰名词(词性),her不能单独作句子的主语。
Step 3 Practice
1. Ask the students to put the words in order to make conversations and check them in 3a.
Answers:1. What’s your name
I’m Cindy.
2. What’s his name
He’s Bob.
3. Are you Mike
Yes,I am.
2. Practice the conversations in pairs.
3. Get the class to complete the conversation in 3b. Ask one student to write the answers on the blackboard,and ask other students to correct them.
Answers:what’s;name’s;Are;No;I’m;Bob;Nice;meet
4. Ask the students to read the conversation in pairs. And let some pairs to act out the conversation in front of the class.
Step 4 Grammar Focus
1. Ask the students to read and translate the sentences in Grammar Focus.
2. Sum up with the whole class.
(1)Write their complete forms.

规律:is缩写为’s;am缩写为’m
(2)Fill in the chart.

主格 I you she he
形容词性物主代词 my your her his
(3)Discuss in groups.
将下列句子改为一般疑问句并作答。
She is Mary. Is she Mary Yes,she is.
His name is Tom. Is his name Tom No,it isn’t.
I’m Jim Green. Are you Jim Green Yes,I am.
总结:含有be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句的特点:①以Am/Is/Are开头;②用yes/no回答;③句末须用问号。
Step 5 Group work
1. Do a “Name Game”. Ask the students to practice introducing themselves in groups.
Competition:List names as many as possible. See which group gets the most names.
Model:
:My name is Dale.
:His name is Dale. My name is Linda.
:His name is Dale. Her name is Linda. My name is...
:...
(In the“Name Game”,remind the students to use “his” and “her” correctly when describing a boy or a girl. )
2. Divide the students into groups of six or more.
3. The students play the game in their groups first. Then have a competition.
4. Ask the students to count out the names they’ve got. The students who get the most names are the winners.
Step 6 Summary
In this lesson,we have learned:
1. Five new words:yes,she,he,no,not.
2. Sentences:Are you... Is he/she... and their answers.
3. Grammar:The simple present tense.

答案与解析:
Ⅰ. 1. my 修饰名词sister应用形容词性物主代词,me对应的形容词性物主代词是my。
2. Her 修饰名词name应用形容词性物主代词,she对应的形容词性物主代词是her,首字母应大写,故填Her。
3. He 人称代词作主语,用主格形式,his的主格是he,首字母应大写,故填He。
4. not Are you... 是以be动词开头的一般疑问句,意为“你是……吗?”其肯定回答为“Yes,I am. ”否定回答为“No,I’m not. ”故填not。
5. she 根据答语“Yes,she is”可知,此处为人称代词作主语,用主格形式,her的主格是she,故填she。

在一般现在时态的句子中,主语为第三人称单数时,be动词用is;主语为复数时,be动词用are;主语为I时,be动词用am。
Ⅲ. 1. B Is he... 是含有be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句,肯定回答是:Yes,he is. ;否定回答是:No,he isn’t. 根据下文His name’s Frank. 可知,此处为否定回答。故选B。
2. C 根据答语She’s Mary. “她叫玛丽”可知,此处问她叫什么名字。故选C。
3. B 第一句中Tina是女名,用形容词性物主代词her修饰名词name;第二句缺少主语,应该用人称代词主格she。故选B。
4. A Are you...?是含be动词的一般现在时的一般疑问句,肯定回答是:Yes,I am. ;否定回答是:No,I’m not. ,故选A。

Step 7 Homework
1. Recite the sentences in Grammar Focus.
2. Get to know more friends,ask as many names as possible and greet them in English after class.
3. Preview the words in Section B.
