设计说明
本节课运用唱英文歌的方式呈现和练习数字0—9,以听的方式学习询问和告知电话号码的句型,获取信息,进一步理解first name与last name的区别。课堂内容贴近学生生活实际,生动有趣,能够吸引学生以积极的态度投入到学习中,能获得较好的教学效果,并培养学生动脑、动手的能力。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握单词:zero,one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight,nine,telephone,number,phone,first,last,friend,China。
(2)掌握短语:telephone/phone number,first name,last name。
(3)掌握句型:—What’s your/his/her telephone/phone number —It’s...
—What’s your/his/her first/last name
—My/His/Her first/last name’s...
2. 能力目标:
(1)通过学习英文数字0—9来获取他人的电话号码。
(2)通过制作电话号码簿、名片等活动,培养学生动脑、动手的能力。
3. 情感目标:
帮助学生比较中英文姓名的不同之处,通过了解中英文名字的区别,培养和提高学生对中外文化差异的敏感性和鉴别能力,加深对本国文化的理解和认识,培养学生的世界观意识,以及初步的跨文化交际能力。
重点难点
1. 重点:
(1)熟练掌握数字0—9,并利用数字0—9与同学交换电话号码。
(2)了解中英文名字间的差异,辨认英文姓氏与名字。
2. 难点:
(1)正确区分first name与last name。
(2)通过练习,熟练说出电话号码。

教具:教学课件、数字0—9卡片、手机、录音机和磁带。
教学过程
Step 1 Free talk
1. Ask some students to introduce themselves and their new friends in class like this:
Hi,I’m a...,My name’s...,He’s...,His name’s...,She’s...,Her name’s...
2. Make a conversation with the students’ names like this:

Step 2 Presentation
1. Play an English song Ten Little Indian Boys. Ask the students to sing after the recorder.
2. Show your own telephone and ask:
What’s this in English
Help the students to answer:
It’s a telephone/phone.
3. Give your own telephone number and write the sentence on the blackboard,and then ask the students:What’s your telephone number
4. Practice in pairs:

5. Teach the numbers from zero to nine.
6. Ask the students to listen and repeat. Then ask them to write them down.

Step 3 Listening
1. Listen to the conversation in 1b and write the telephone number. Then check the answer.

2. Ask the students to match the names with the telephone numbers.
The teacher plays the tape and the students listen to the tape. Then ask one student to show his/her answers.

Step 4 Practice
1. Make a small survey about your partners’ telephone number by asking:What’s your telephone/phone number and try to write them down.
2. Make a report like this:

3. Play the game in 1f.
Ask the students to put the numbers in a box. Then take out one of them and find its owner.
Step 5 Presentation
1. Teach the students new words and phrases.

2. Show two names:one is a Chinese name,and the other is an English name. Help the students understand the first name and the last name. Then get the students to tell the differences between Chinese names and English names.
3. Ask the students to master the sentences and know the meaning of them.

4. Show some names and ask,“What’s his first/last name /What’s her first/last name ”

1. Ask the students to read the messages in 2b quickly and match them with the pictures.

3. Ask the students to read the messages a third time and match the names with the telephone numbers in 2c and find three pairs of friends in the name list.

4. Language points
(1)What’s your phone number 是用来询问电话号码的句型,答语用It’s...或My phone number is...。
(2)英美人的姓名通常是名在前,姓在后;中国人的姓名通常是姓在前,名在后。如:Jim Green,Jim是名,而Green是姓;Lin Dan,名是Dan,姓是Lin。
(3)first表示“第一”,其前常用定冠词the或形容词性物主代词。

Ⅰ. 1. China in China为固定短语,意为“在中国”。
2. friend 句意:他是我的朋友。他的名字叫迈克。
3. last 西方人的姓名通常是名字在前,姓氏在后,因此在Jim Smith中,Smith是姓氏(last name)。
4. first 西方人的姓名通常是名字在前,姓氏在后,因此在Jenny Miller中,Jenny是名字(first name)。
5. number telephone number为固定短语,意为“电话号码”。
