1. People often lose things when they’re travelling or when they’re in a hurry. 人们在in a hurry 意思是“匆匆忙忙”。
(be) in no hurry意思是 “不急于；不忙于”
旅行中或是匆忙中经常丢东西。
他匆匆忙忙写了一封信。
She write a letter in a hurry.
2. hundreds of 意为“数百”，类似的短语还有 thousands of（数以千计的），millions of （数百 万的）。
hundreds of表示的是一个概数，前面不能再加基数词修饰。当hundred表示确切数目时，其前有一个具体的基数词修饰，此时hundred既不变为复数，也不与of连用 eg. two hundred

他们把东西落在飞机上、火车上、汽车上或者出租车上。
leave常见意思有：
(1)表示“落下、遗忘”，
常见短语: leave sb./sth. in some place
把某人/某物落在某地
我把钥匙落车里了。

4.That’s why there are lost and found offices at airports and stations.
这就是在机场和火车站有失物招领办公室的原因。
that’s why 表示“是……的原因”，常用于句首，
后面跟的是结果。如：
托尼上学迟到因为他今天早晨睡过头了。
Tony overslept this morning.
That’s why he was late for school.
5.They are looking for their phones, cameras, watches, computers and many other things.
他们在找他们的手机，相机，手表，电脑和许多其它的东西。
look for 意思是“寻找”。

2、find意为“找到；发现”，强调“找”的结果，其宾语往往是某个丢失的东西或人。
I’m looking for my bag, but I can’t find it.
