四年级下册M3第四课时 绘本教学设计(The Very Hungry Caterpillar)
一、学情分析:经过三年级一年的英语学习,四年级的学生有了一定的英语基础,同
时开始接触将来时态,掌握本节课的重难点对于他们来说比较有挑战性。
二、教材分析(绘本):The Very Hungry Caterpillar是大师Eric Carle经典之作,被选为美国纽约公共图书馆“每人都应该知道的100种绘本”。简单的题材,看似简单低幼,却能表达出那么丰富且含义巨大的信息。从星期一到星期日,食物和数字,这些内容涉及到的单词刚好就是学生在四年级学习的部分新单词,为了贴合本模块学习的含有“will”的将来时这个重难点,我们团队的老师在尊重原版绘本的基础上通力合作,将大部分句子的时态改编成了含有“will” 的将来时态。同时,我们还为新编绘本准备了配套的学习资源(P图、配音、视频、练习等)。另外,绘本图片精美,容易引起学生的阅读兴趣。
三、教学目标:
听懂、会读星期的单词和将来时的句子。
会运用句型:--What will he eat on … --On … he will eat …
通过生动有趣的绘本故事The Very Hungry Caterpillar培养学生运用英语的能力,提高学生的口语水平,并让学生产生浓厚的兴趣,同时学会合理安排饮食,快乐成长。
四、教学重难点:
句型--What will he eat on … --On … he will eat ...的运用以及复述绘本故事。
五、教学用具:PPT、多媒体等。
六、教学过程:
Step one: Preparation
1、Sing a song (唱一首有关星期的歌曲,通过歌曲活跃气氛,同时简单回顾所学过的单词)
2、Lead in (老师引导学生说出已学过的有关食物的单词,为接下来的绘本故事教学做铺垫)
3、Read the cover (初步感知绘本故事)
Step two: Presentation
(一)Watch a video (整体了解一下故事内容)
(二)Read P2-5
1、Finish the mind map (根据文本内容完成思维导图,有助于学生快速理解文本内容,抓住重点)
2、Fill in the blanks
The caterpillar is looking for food.
On Monday, he eats _______.
On Tuesday, he will eat _______.
On Wednesday, he will eat ________.
(三)Read P6-9
1、Ask and answer(让学生阅读绘本,回答问题)
(1) What is the caterpillar looking for
He is looking for food.
(2) What will he eat on Thursday/ Friday/Saturday/Sunday
On Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday he will eat some noodles and dumplings/chips and vegetables/soup and rice/bread and meat.
2、Say a chant (通过简单的说唱,熟悉绘本的内容)
He will eat noodles.
He will eat vegetables.
He will eat rice.
He will eat meat.
(四)Read P10-14
1、Finish the story map(让学生根据图片完成故事图,增加对绘本的理解)

2、Share the story (通过思维导图的引导,让学生用自己的话来分享这个故事)
Step three: Practice
Watch and repeat(看视频,尝试复述绘本故事)
2、Retell the story(根据下文提示,小组内自由复述2分钟,接着让小组长复述整篇故事)
The caterpillar is very hungry. He is looking for food. On Monday, he eats _____ and ____. On Tuesday, he will eat ____ and ____. On Wednesday, he will eat ____ and ____. 3、Teach “il” and “ay”(老师先出示will和Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday…让学生读一读,注意所教音标的发音。接着让学生找找读音的相似之处,出示音标【il】【e 】。最后引导学生回忆已学过哪些单词是发【il】和【e 】,并拓展简单的新词。)
Step four: Production
1、Say a chant
通过“say a chant”简单的说唱让学生理解“will”句型结构,引导孩子“Make a week plan”,说一说自己一星期的计划。
What will you eat next week
On Monday I will eat a chocolate cake and an egg.
On Tuesday I will eat a hamburger and a sandwich.
On Wednesday I will eat a potato and a tomato.
On Thursday I will eat some noodles and dumplings.
On Friday I will eat some chips and vegetables.
On Saturday I will eat some soup and rice.
On Sunday I will eat some bread and meat.
2、Reading(学生自由朗读故事,注意语音语调)
Step five: Conclusion and emotional education.
Good food is not enough to eat, but good food is not enough to sprinkle.
好菜不过食,美酒不过量。
Five grains and miscellaneous grains are strong and green vegetables and radishes are healthy.
五谷杂粮身体壮,青菜萝卜保健康。
(小学生每天都要合理饮食,健康快乐成长。)
Step six: Homework
把绘本故事讲给家人听。
