Ask students to read sentences in grammar focus and pay attention to the conjunctions in sentences.
Read the following sentences and find out the common features.
Most people think that the story of Chang’e is the most touching.
He found that the moon was so bright and round.
在复合句中, 作宾语的从句叫宾语从句。引导宾语从句常见关联词有that, if, whether 等。

一、宾语从句
在复合句中,由一个句子充当宾语,这个句子叫做宾语从句。引导宾语从句的常见连接词有that, whether, if, what, who, where, why和how等。that引导表示陈诉的宾语从句,whether和if引导表示“是否”的宾语从句。
如: He told that he would go to the college the next year.
他告诉我他下一年上大学。
1.that引导的宾语从句
宾语从句是陈述句时,由that引导。that只有连接主从句的作用,在口语或非正式文体中that常省略。
如:She said (that) she would leave the message on the headmaster's desk.
她说她会把留言留在校长桌上。
如:He said (that) he could finish his work before supper.
他说他可以在晚饭前完成工作。
2.由if/whether引导的宾语从句
当由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时,用if或whether引导,意为“是否”,从句要用陈述句语序。
如:Nobody knows whether he likes to go to school or not. 没人知道他是否喜欢上学。
如:Jim wants to know if/whether she has passed the exam.吉姆想知道他是否考试及格了。
由if/whether引导的宾语从句
if/whether用法及区别
(1)一般情况下宾语从句中if/whether可以互换,但句中有or not时,用whether.
如:I don't know whether or not he will come.
我不知道他是否会来。
如:Nobody knows whether or not it will rain tomorrow.
没人知道明天是否会下雨。
(2)从句做介词宾语时只用whether不用if.
如:It depends on whether it will be fine.
那得看是不是晴天。
如:Tom is worried about whether he has passed the examination.
汤姆担心他是否通过了考试。
(3)用在动词不定式之前时用whether不用if.
如:I don't know whether to go there at once.
我不知道是不是该立刻去那里。
如:I can't decide whether to go or to stay.
我不能决定离开还是留下。
3.宾语从句的语序
宾语从句要用陈述句语序,特别注意whether,if,wh-疑问句引导的宾语从句语序。
如:He asked me what I did yesterday afternoon.
他问我昨天下午做什么了。
如:Do you know why winter is colder than summer
你知道为什么冬季比夏季冷?
宾语从句是特殊疑问句时,疑问词when, who, what, where等充当引导词。疑问词不能省略,从句要用陈述语序。
Could you please tell me where the rest rooms are
你能告诉我休息室在哪里吗?
Do you know when the bookstore closes today
你知道书店今天什么时候关门吗?
I asked Candy how life was different after she became famous.
我问凯蒂成名后生活有什么不同。
4.宾语从句的时态
(1)主句中谓语动词是现在或者将来时,从句位于不受主句位于时态的影响,可以根据实际情况使用任何时态。
如:I hear he came back a few days ago.
我听说几天之前他就回来了。
如: I don't know if Sam will come tomorrow.
我不知道山姆明天是否会来。
(2)主句中谓语动词是过去时态,从句的时态一般为过去的某种形式。
如:Did you notice what Miss Lin was doing in her office
你注意到林小姐在办公室里干什么了吗?
如:She said she was much better than before.
她说她比以前好多了。
(3)当主句位于是过去时态,而宾语从句叙述某一客观真理/事实,宾语从句时态用一般现在时。
如 They said that the earth is round.
他们说地球是圆的。
如:He said that light travels fast than sound.
他说光比声音传播得快。
感叹句
感叹句是表示赞美、惊叹、喜悦等感情的句子。感叹句一般由how或者what开头。what做定语,修饰名词,how做状语,修饰形容词、副词或者句子。
1.what引导的感叹句
(1)What+ (a/an) +形容词+可数名词单数+ 主语+谓语 !
①What a nice present it is!
它是一件多么好的礼物啊!
②What an interesting book it is!
她是一个多么漂亮的女孩!
(2)What+ (a/an) +形容词+可数名词复数+ 主语+谓语 !
如: What beautiful flowers they are !
多么漂亮的花啊!
如: what good children they are !
他们是多么好的孩子啊!
(3)What+ (a/an) +形容词+不可数名词+ 主语+谓语 !
如: What fine weather it is today!
今天天气多好啊!
如: What important news it is !
多么重要的新闻啊!
2.how 引导的感叹句
由how引导的感叹句,其句子结构分为三种:
(1)How十形容词副词+主语+谓语!
如 How careful she is!她多么细心啊!
如 How fast he runs!他跑得多快啊!
(2)How+形容词+ a /an+可数名词单数+主语+谓语!
如 How beautiful a girl is! 她是个多么漂亮的姑娘啊!
(3)How+主语+谓语!
如: How time flies! 光阴似箭!
