通过图片复习问路用语
问路的常用表达：
Could/ Can you tell me the way to …
Could/ Can you tell me how I can get to ...
Is there a/an... near here
Which is the way to..., please
Where is ... , please
指路的常用表达：
Go along/ down this road/street.
Turn left/ right at the + 序数词 +crossing/turning.
It’s next to/ beside/in front of /between… and…
Go straight/across...

Step 2 Pre-reading
1) Show some pictures of Fun Times Park and two questions:
1.How many scenes in this conversation
Four.
2.What places have they mentioned
Space World, Water World, Water City Restaurant, Uncle Bob’s
Step 3 Reading
1) Read the conversation in 3a answer the questions in 3a.
1. Why did Alice not want to go on the new ride
How did she feel after the ride
2. What is special about Uncle Bob’s restaurant Should Alice and He Wei get there early for dinner Why
Check the answer.
2) Read the conversation again and answer the questions in 3a.
a. Read the first part and fill in the blanks.
b.Read the second part and answer the questions.
c.Read the last two parts, then choose “T” or “F”.
Step 4 Practice
Underline the questions or statements in the conversation that ask for information. Rewrite them in a different way.
e.g. I wonder where we should go next.

Check the answers with the whole class.
1. In a direct question, the verb comes before the subject.
e.g. Where should we go next
2. In an indirect question, the subject comes before the verb.
e.g. I wonder where we should go next.
3. For questions with a yes/no answer, we use the words “if” or “weather”.
e.g. I wonder if there’s a bank near here.
Could you please tell me whether there’s a bank near here
4. Some indirect questions have the structure of a statement and do not end with a question mark.
e.g. I wonder where we should go next.
I’d like to know what time the library closes.
Retell the conversation.
