Observe the following sentences carefully and pay attention to the function of “to do”.

“动词+宾语+动词不定式”,其中动词不定式充当宾语的补足语。

① My mum asks me to play the piano two hours every day.
② Mr Han told us not to make too much noise.
动词不定式可以作宾语补足语,用来补充说明宾语,表示宾语的状态、特征、身份等。
结构为:“动词+宾语+动词不定式”。
常带不定式作宾补的动词有:warn, tell, allow, ask, order, get, invite, wish, want, encourage等
若要表达否定的意思,要在to do前加not, 构成not to do的形式
动词不定式作宾语补足语
① She often helps me (to) do the housework.
② We helped him (to) fix his bike.
动词help后面的动词不定式可带to,也可不带to。
有些动词后接不定式时要将to省略。这类的动词有哪些呢?

因为help后既可接带to的不定式也可接不带to的不定式,因此常称为“半帮助”。

动词不定式在句中表示行为动作的目的,作目的状语。
Observe
动词不定式用作目的状语,表示某一动作或状态的目的 (做某事是为了什么) ,可位于句首也可位于句末。
① I had to work hard to earn money.
= To earn money, I had to work hard.
② She is running quickly in order to catch the train.
= In order to catch the train, she is running quickly.
不定式前面加in order构成 in order to do …可加强语气或使目的意义更加清楚
动词不定式作目的状语
