【设计说明】
状语从句其实对学生来说并不陌生,但是很多学生会做题但是不会实际运用。我从当前的冠状病毒这个大背景入手,用状语从句编写句子,让学生们在学习语法课之余也能从英文着手对现在的病毒有所了解。根据最后用状语从句输出的以冠状病毒为主题的文章,帮助学生概括和总结今天所学内容,将各个环节老师编写的句子整体呈现,让学生一起读,这样学生不仅能再一次巩固各个从句,还能从句子中得到一些冠状病毒的知识渗透。并且也可以鼓励学生用状语从句进行创作。
【学情分析】
状语从句是中考语法部分所要考查的重点内容之一,也是学生比较熟悉的一种复合句。这几年中考中所考查的题目其实难度并不大,也没有太多的难点,一般是考查主从句的时态呼应,或者根据句意选择合适的连接词。状语从句其实对学生来说并不陌生,但是很多学生对语法的整体概念并不是很清晰,会做题但是不会实际运用,在分析初中的几大复合句时,有时也难以清楚快速地判断其是属于什么从句,考查什么语法点。而状语从句的时态呼应等问题,对于中等生和学困生来说也不是那么容易解答的。而实际运用状语从句自己去写句子或者文章时,大部分学生都不是很得心应手,容易出现时态上的语法错误,或者因中文固有思维影响的连词选择上的错误。
【教学目标】
1. 学生能通过此堂课清楚地了解状语从句的语法结构。
2. 学生能够了解六种状语从句的基本考点,并能掌握相应知识点。
3. 学生能够学会自己正确地运用状语从句进行句子的编写。
【教学重点】
1. 时间状语从句和条件状语从句的时态呼应。
2. 状语从句连接词的选择。
【教学难点】
能在口头和笔头熟悉使用各种状语从句。

【教学过程】
Step1 Lead-in
1.Lead in the Adverbial Clause by the sentence.
T: Boys and girls, we respect heroes because of their hard work.
The word “we” here is the subject of the sentence. “Respect” here is a verb and it’s the predicate of the sentence. “Heroes” here is an object of the sentence. The last part is the adverbial of the sentence.
2.T: We respect heroes because they try their best to save others. Let’s look at the first part of this sentence. It’s the main clause. Now let’s pay attention to this part, It’s not only a word or phrase now, right It’s a sentence and it’s called Adverbial Clause. So What’s the Adverbial Clause
Ss: 1.在复合句中作状语的句子叫状语从句。
2.它们常位于句尾,强调时则位于句首。
3.状语从句都由从属连词引导

【设计意图】先以基本的句型结构导入,让学生先复习状语,然后再进一步在原有句子上引出状语从句,学生可以更加直观更加清晰的掌握句子的句式结构,也能将抽象的语法概念变得更加简明易懂。
Step2 The category of The Adverbial Clause.
T: Generally speaking, there are 9 kinds of Adverbial Clauses. But today the time is limited, so we will learn from No.1 to No.6.(原因状语从句;结果状语从句;条件状语从句;时间状语从句;让步状语从句;目的状语从句)
【设计意图】列出状语从句的分类,让学生对今天课堂所将要学习的内容有一个清楚的脉络。
Step3. Adverbial Clause of Reason (原因状语从句)
T: Now, as well know lots of heroes are trying their best to save the people. And we can’t have lessons at school. Why
Ss: Because a new virus(病毒) called 2019-nCOV is spreading now.
T:Here we have got the Adverbial Clause of Reason. 它是用来说明原因,常用连词主要有because(因为),since(既然),for(由于), as(由于)等。
Then let Ss do some exercise. After they finish it, the teacher checks the answer and gives some tips.
1. A: Why is it called coronavirus

2. 改正下面的句子
Because some people ate the wild animals,
so it jumped from the animals to people.
Tip1: 回答why提出的问题,只能用because,不能用since,for,as。
Tip2: because 表示的原因是必然的因果关系,语气最强,通常放在主句之后,有时也放在主句之前。
【设计意图】本环节讲解的是原因状语从句,我是从现下的冠状病毒这个大背景入手,用状语从句编写句子,让学生们在学习语法课之余也能从英文着手对现在的病毒有所了解。然后此环节的题目也是关于冠状病毒的原创题。学生先做题,对原因状语从句的考点和易错点有所感知,老师再加以重点的题型和强调,更能强化学生对此知识点的记忆。
Step4. Adverbial Clause of Result (结果状语从句)
T: The virus is so tiny that we can’t even see it.
Here we have got Adverbial Clause of Result.
它表示主句的动作所引起的结果,常用的连词:
so…that…; such…that…(如此……以至于……)等。
Then let Ss do some exercise. After they finish it, the teacher checks the answer and gives some tips.

Tip3: so后跟形容词或副词。such后跟名词词组。
【设计意图】本环节讲解的是结果状语从句,延续上个环节关于冠状病毒的状语从句的编写,先读句子,然后学生做题,对结果状语从句的考点和易错点有所感知,老师再加以重点的题型和强调,更能强化学生对此知识点的记忆。
Step5. Adverbial Clause of Condition (条件状语从句)
T:If a person with 2019-nCOV talks to us, his virus may spread through the tiny droplets(飞沫) and infect us. Here we have got an Adverbial Clause of Condition. 它表示主句的动作发生的条件、假设等,常用的连接词有if(如果),unless(除非),as long as(只要)等等。
Then let Ss do some exercise. After they finish it, the teacher checks the answer and gives some tips.

Tip4: 条件状语在中考中主要考查词义辨析和if 引导的主从句时态。条件状语从句中主句是一般将来时的时候,从句要用一般现在时代替一般将来时。
【设计意图】本环节讲解的是条件状语从句,延续上个环节关于冠状病毒的状语从句的编写,先读句子,然后学生做题,对结果状语从句的考点和易错点有所感知,老师再加以重点的题型和强调,更能强化学生对此知识点的记忆。
Step6. Adverbial Clause of Time (时间状语从句)
T:When people are infected by the new virus, they may have a fever, a cough and difficulty breathing. When they go to public places, they may infect (传染)more people. Here we have got an Adverbial Clause of Time. 说明动作或状态发生,存在的时间。它常用连词有:when(当……时),while(当……的时候),before(在……以前),after(在……以后),until/till(直到……才……),since(自从),as(当;随着),whenever(无论何时),as soon as(一……就……)等。

Tip5: when,as,while这三个词都可以引导时间状语从句,它们的差别是:when从句表示某时刻或一段时间,有“当……时”的意思;as从句表示进展过程,有“随着,一边……一边”的意思;while只表示一段持续的时间,有“在……的同时”的意思。

Tip6: 时间状语从句中的时态问题:1.时间状语从句的谓语动词一般不用
将来时态,因此,主句若为一般将来时,时间状语从句要用一般现在时。 2.since 引导的时间状语从句中,主句一般要用现在完成时,而从句用一般过去时。

Step7. Adverbial Clause of Concession (让步状语从句)
T:Although some people with the virus do not have any symptoms(症状), actually they are infected. Here we have got Adverbial Clause of Concession. 它常用连词有though(虽然),although(虽然;尽管),even if(即使)等。
Then let Ss do some exercise. After they finish it, the teacher checks the answer and gives some tips.
1. Translate the sentence:
尽管不是所有人都喜欢它,但它依然被认为是一部成功的电影。

Tip7: although/though和but 不能用在同一个句子中。
【设计意图】本环节讲解的是让步状语从句,延续上个环节关于冠状病毒的状语从句的编写,先读句子,然后学生做题,对结果状语从句的考点和易错点有所感知,老师再加以重点的题型和强调,更能强化学生对此知识点的记忆。
Step8. Adverbial Clause of Purpose (目的状语从句)
Being sick is a very bad thing. We should stay at home and keep away from crowds so that we can protect ourselves and others from the virus. Here we have got an Adverbial Clause of Purpose. 它表示主句的动作发生的目的,常用连接词有so that(目的是;以便于), in order that(目的是;为了)等。
Then let Ss read two sentences. After they finish it, the teacher gives some tips.
1. He speaks slowly in order that everyone could understand him.
2. Jim works hard so that he can catch up with his classmates.
Tip8:目的状语从句中常用助动词或情态动词may(might), shall(should), will(would), can(could)。目的状语从句常放于主句之后。
【设计意图】本环节讲解的是目的状语从句,延续上个环节关于冠状病毒的状语从句的编写,至此,细心的同学会发现,此时老师每个环节的状语从句已然构成一个小篇章。照例然后学生做题,对结果状语从句的考点和易错点有所感知,老师再加以重点的题型和强调,更能强化学生对此知识点的记忆。
Step9. Solutions
Give Ss some suggestions of solving the problems and then use the ways and the knowledge we have learnt in this class to try to do some exercise.
解题思路:
中考对状语从句的考查主要体现在以下两个方面:
1. 从语境出发,正确判断状语从句类型,选准连词。
2. 根据所给状语从句的暗示,考查从句与主句之间的时态呼应。
做题方法:
选项是状语从句的连词,则考查状从,此时需分析整句话的含义,
看选项哪个合适,则选哪个连词。

【设计意图】通过各个环节对状语从句的分类讲解和操练,相信学生们已经能扎实地掌握相关知识点和考点。在这一环节,老师对上面各个环节进行总结,给学生提出一些解题技巧,帮助学生概括出状语从句的考点,有助于提高学生的学习效率,再通过各地的中考真题帮助学生们全面的落实和巩固。
Step10 Conclusion
T: What have learnt in this class Let’s read these sentences together.
Get the Ss to read the six adverbial clauses aloud.
T: If we put all the sentences together, we can get a short passage of the novel coronavirus. I hope that you can also try to write a passage like this.
Ss: Read the sentences as a whole passage.
【设计意图】帮助学生概括和总结今天所学内容,将各个环节老师编写的句子整体呈现,让学生一起读,这样学生不仅能再一次巩固各个从句,还能从句子中得到一些冠状病毒的知识渗透。并且也可以鼓励学生用状语从句进行创作。
Step11 Closing
T: Maybe this spring is not like before. We won’t be able to meet many people or go to a lot of places. But the love from our parents and families will never be any lesser. It’s still a wonderful new year because we are all united together fighting the virus! We will conquer the virus finally!
I think when spring has blossomed. We will return our happy lives!

【教学反思】
1、本堂课以符合当前背景知识的典型例句引出六个初中阶段常见的状语从句,方便学生归纳总结。
2、在教学过程中,设计和增加了推动学生自主归纳的教学活动,以此来促进他们自主探究、发现和解决问题的能力,并推动他们思维能力的发展。以学生为主体,老师为主导,不断地鼓励和引导学生去思考和总结。探究出正确的语法规则之后,再呈现它,给予学生适当的评价。这样既能对学生归纳的结果给予肯定,激发了他们探索知识的积极性,又能使学生加深对知识的理解和掌握,加深了学生对知识的接受程度。
3.我将语法项目和当前的新冠盛行的大背景有机整合,使学生在情境的引导下感知、理解、探索、实践和运用语法知识。学生在一个个由浅入深的环节中慢慢地、自然地、轻松地巩固了语法。教学过程中把语法训练和思维训练相结合,对不同类型的项目使用不同的方式,有意识地把学习语法的目的引导到实际运用中,使学生有机会在实践中运用,通过运用而自然地掌握规律。
本堂课对于整个知识点的讲解还是较有条理的,以现有背景入手,以语法知识点为基础,最后输出一篇联系实际的知识性小短文,大体上学生还是能比较容易学习和接受的。语法课本身可能较枯燥,如何提升学生的兴趣是一大难点。最后文章的输出部分可能可以再设计得巧妙一些,让优生能真正落实到笔头的输出,这样正堂课就层次分明,可以满足不同基础学生的需求。
