Grammar
定义:在句子中起宾语作用的从句叫做宾语从句。
书本P109-110
宾语从句三要素:连接词、语序、时态
宾语从句的连接词:
连词that, 无实际意义,表示肯定概念,
可省略。
He knew (that) he should work hard.
that引导的宾语从句的语序:
believe//hope/say/tell/think/wish/…+ (that) +陈述句
宾语从句的连接词:
2. 连词 if / whether,表“是否”,
表示“不确定的概念” 不能省略。
Tom don’t know if / whether his grandpa
liked the present.
一般情况下, if 和whether可以互换,
但与or not连用时只能用whether, whether… or not
He asked me whether or not I was coming.
if/whether引导的宾语从句的语序:

疑问词在句中有实际意义,表示不确定概念,不可省略。
疑问词who,what, which, when, where, why, how

2. 陈述句变为宾语从句时,
注意人称和 时态的变化, 语序不变。

→ She said she would leave a message on the

3. 一般疑问句和特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时,
注意人称、时态的变化和陈述语序。
“Where are the tickets ” I asked him.
→ I asked him where the tickets are.

My best friend
I have a lot of close friends. One of them is called Kerry. Our friendship started in the autumn of 2007. After I graduated from college in Hangzhou, I began to work in Ningbo. Far away from my family, I didn’t feel sure of myself and I was really lonely. As I had trouble understanding the local language, I was not willing to make new friends.
One afternoon, when I was checking my students’ homework, Kerry entered the office with a bright smile on her face. She introduced herself and offered to make friends with me.
