状语的定义
状语(adverbial)是句子的重要修饰成分。
从情况, 时间,处所,方式,条件,对象,肯定,否定,范围和程度等方面对谓语中心进行修饰或限制。状语一般由 副词、介词短语、分词、分词短语、不定式或相当于副词的词或短语来担当。其位置一般放在句末，但某些情况下也可放在句首或句中。

Once upon a time, two hungry people received a gift from an elder:
a fishing rod and a basket of fresh. They take separate routes and
both of them died.
Another two person who also received a fishing rod and a basket
of fish from the elder. They find their way together and share
what they own. Finally, they survive.
We learn that if a person only cares about his immediate interests,
he will not receive his ultimate goal. You have lofty goals on condition
that you have to feed yourself first. You can make progress only if
you are in good health.

Travel to Mars will be much more difficult than landing on the moon. When people landed on the moon, they carried with them all the supplies they needed. But sending a spaceship with people and all the supplies they need for their time on Mars would make the spaceship too heavy. So if astronauts go to Mars, scientists will send supplies first. Many other problems will have to be solved too.
Astronauts will have to return within a given time period. If they don't come back within this period of time, they will miss their chance of return. If astronauts have a problem with their equipment, they will not be able to rely on messages from Earth to help them. Because of the distance from Earth, it can take about forty minutes from the time a message goes out from Earth until it is received on Mars. Also, a visitor to Mars will be gone for at least three years because of the distance and time necessary to travel. But one of the biggest problems with traveling to Mars is the danger of radiation. Astronauts will be exposed to much more radiation than someone traveling to the moon.
