Step 3 Listening (1b)
1.T: I have two friends. They are Laura and Zheng Yun. They are talking about the kite festival. Do you want to know more about that Then let's listen.
2.Play the tape. The first time, students only listen. The second time, students finish 1b. The third time, check each answer in group of four.
Step 4 Listening (1c)
1.Learn new phrase: different kinds of.
2.Listen and write L for Laura and Z for Zheng Yun.
Step 5 Listening (1d)
1.T:You have learned something about Weifang Kite Festival. What kinds of people attend it What kind of festival is it (In this way to learn international and competitors.)
2.Listen to the tape three times. Finish 1d. And play the tape again to check the answers.
Step 6 Role Play (1e)
1.Teacher plays a dialogue with a student as an example in 1e. Ask students to make the dialogue in pairs.
2.Play a Weifang Kite Festival's video in order to ask students to make a longer dialogue.
3.Play a video of Dieppe International Kite Festival in France, then ask students to make a conversation about this.

try to do sth.意为“尽力去做某事”;try doing sth.意为“尝试做某事”。

think about意为“考虑;对……有(某种观点)”;后接名词、代词或动名词。
What do you think about him 你觉得他这个人怎么样
Don’t you ever think about your work 难道你就不考虑一下自己的工作吗?
3.That sounds interesting.那听起来很有趣。
sound作连系动词,意为“听起来”,后接形容词作表语。
That sounds perfect!?那听起来很完美。
That sounds good. 那听起来不错。
