本节课贯穿始终的话题是针对本节课的教学内容对学生进行健康饮食的教育,提倡合理的饮食。在教学过程中,利用情景导入学会新词,在范文阅读中强化语言的运用,让学生在写作实践中体验语言运用的乐趣,让学生在合作交流中培养合作意识,并倡导健康饮食。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握单词:star,eat,well,habit,healthy,really,question,want,be,fat。
(2)掌握句型:What do you like for breakfast
What fruit do you like
Do you like hamburgers for dinner

Step1 Warming up and leading in
1. Put the food words into correct categories(种类).
tomato,orange,potato,hamburger,carrot,sandwich,chicken,beef,bread,rice,cake...

2. Have a free talk. Ask the students what kind of food they think is healthy and unhealthy. Then invite several students to present their answers.
3. Make a survey.
Make a survey about the healthy and unhealthy food. Fill in the chart in 2a. Then report in class like this:
I think...is healthy and...is not healthy/unhealthy.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Learn the new words.
Show the students a picture of Yao Ming.
T:Look,what is he doing
:He is playing basketball.
T:He is very famous in China. Maybe everyone knows him. He is a sports star. S-T-A-R,star.

T:Yao Ming likes sports. He is healthy. Do you know “healthy” Healthy means “健康的”. Can you guess the meaning of “unhealthy”
:“不健康的”.

2. Translate the words into English.

Step 3 Reading
1. Show the picture of Cindy Smith and let the students know her. Then read the magazine article fast and circle the food words. Check the answers.

2. Read it again,and then finish 2c.
Let the students write five sentences about Cindy’s eating habits. After writing,share their sentences in class.
Answers will vary.
3. Talk about the language points.
(1)eat和have
两者都可以表示“吃”。have和eat后都可以接表示一日三餐的名词,但have既可表示“吃”,还可表示“喝”,eat只有“吃”的意思。
I have two eggs and a glass of milk for breakfast.
我早餐吃两个鸡蛋,喝一杯牛奶。
I like ice-cream,but I don’t eat it.
我喜欢冰激凌,但我不吃它。

(2)good和well
good形容词,用作表语或定语。well作副词时,置于实义动词之后作状语;作形容词时多指身体状况好。
用good或well填空
Jack is a good boy. He plays soccer very well.
(3)ask sb. about sth. 意为“询问某人关于某事的情况”。
①David asks the volleyball star,Cindy Smith,about her eating habits. 戴维问排球明星辛迪·史密斯关于她的饮食习惯的事。
②He asks me about my family. 他询问关于我的家庭的情况。
(4)healthy形容词,意为“健康的”,常位于连系动词后作表语或名词前作定语。
①Vegetables are healthy. (作表语)
②They are all healthy food. (作定语)
(5)really副词,意为“真正地”,多位于系动词、情态动词和助动词之后,实义动词之前,由real(adj. )+ly构成。
He really (real) likes salad.
(6)question名词,意为“问题”,其对应词为answer。
