Teaching Plan
一、Background information
1. Teaching content: Comic strip and Welcome to the unit from students’ book 7AUnit8.
2. Analysis on the teaching material:
This is the first period of each unit that aims to make the students familiar with the topic of this unit-- ‘Fashion’. It also aims to activate students’ language knowledge and background information.
3. Analysis on the students: These students are in Grade 7. They are about 12 years old. Most of them have a strong learning motivation and learning interests.
二、Teaching objectives
1. Knowledge objectives:
By the end of the lesson, all of the students can know some different kinds of clothes (blouse, tie etc). 95% of students can use the new words and phrases (spend, lazy, lend, think about, ten more minutes etc) correctly in actual context;
2. Ability objectives:
By the end of the lesson, almost all of the students should be able to talk about clothes and fashion in English.
3. Emotional objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students should know how to wear properly in different situations and the importance of inner beauty.

1. To know some different kinds of clothes.
2. To talk about some common natural disasters and their consequences in English.

Step One: Leading-in
show students a video and ask:
1) What are they doing
(They are holding a fashion show.)
Justification (意图): This leading-in activity can introduce today’s topic.
Step Two: Welcome to the unit (PartA)
1. Introduce different kinds of clothes through pictures.
Justification: Students get familiar with the clothes.
2. Learn new words
