The topic will be led in by showing a short video about Hua Mulan played by Ivy Drama Club, which is familiar with the students. Their interest will be stimulated by watching the video. Meanwhile, new words will be introduced and the students will make clear of the topic of this lesson.
Step2 Let’s predict. What is the passage about Students will be asked to observe the pictures and predict the main idea of the passage by answering the questions. Prediction is a useful reading strategy, which will help the students understand the passage.
While-reading Step3 Let’s read. 1. Read the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs. Students will be asked to match the headings with the paragraphs by using the reading strategy. By doing this, their reading skills will be trained.
2. Read Para.1 and answer the questions. By finding out the detailed information, students will have a general understanding about the play Teahouse.
