通过听说等活动培养良好的听力习惯,增强听力能力,再通过自主学习和小组合作,学会使用本单元重点句型。
教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)掌握词汇:favorite,subject,science,P. E. ,music,math,Chinese,geography,history,why,because。
(2)掌握句型:—What’s your favorite subject
—My favorite subject is...
—Why do you like...
—Because it’s...
2. 能力目标:
(1)学会使用what,why引导的特殊疑问句;学会使用表示品质的形容词。
(2)能够运用所学语言谈论自己所喜欢的学科并说明原因。
3. 情感目标:
通过互相谈论喜欢的学科,增进同学间的了解和友情;了解英语国家学生的学习生活,提高跨文化交际的能力。

2. 难点:science,geography,history等学科名词的读音和拼写以及my,your,his,her等形容词性物主代词在本单元句型中的使用。

教学过程
Step 1 Greeting & Warming up
1. First,show a short movie about Harry Potter.
Give the students the following information:I like this movie best. It’s my favorite movie. What’s your favorite movie
Help the students to answer:
My favorite movie is...
2. Show the students some other items and ask them to express like this:My favorite sport is...
Step 2 Presentation
1. Ask the students to list the subject they have at school and tell the class:

2. Translate the words into English.

3. Ask the students to practice the conversation in pairs.
4. Make new conversations.

“形容词性物主代词+favorite+名词”意为“……最喜欢的……(物)”。
对原因提问常用疑问词 why。
5. Let the students make their own conversations in pairs,and then ask some pairs to act out their conversations.

1. Listen and put the sentences in 2a in order to make up a conversation.

2. Read the conversation together.
3. Explain the descriptions to the class,and then work on 2b. Listen and match.
