Step1 Warming-up and listening
1. Listen and number the pictures in Activity 1.
2. Match the sentences with the pictures in Activity 2.
Step 2 Listening and reading
1. (Close the books) Listen to the tape carefully.
2. Ask and answer
1) What has Betty made
2) What has Lingling made
3) How does the cheese smell
4) How does the chocolate cookies taste
5) Who is going to the airport And why
3. Ask the students to read through the conversation individually.
4. Play the tape and have them read and follow.
5. Act it out.

Step 3 Exercise
1. Answer the questions about the words in the box in Activity 4.
2. Complete the sentences in activity 5 .
3. Complete the table with the words in the boxes in Activities 2 and 4.

Step1 Warming-up
1. Show some pictures and talk something about the pictures.
2. Work in pairs.
Look at the two photos in Activity 1. Talk about how they look. Use the words in the box to help you.
3. Introduce the new words.
Step 2 Reading
1. Read Sally’s letter and find out which is her photo.
1) Ask the students to do this individually, and then check with a partner.
2) Call back the answers from the whole class.
2. Play the tape and have them read and follow.
Step 3 Explain the important and difficult points

1. Read through the example sentences in the box with the whole class.
2. Ask them what language point they illustrate. ( Describing feeling and impressions with adjectives. )
3. Work in groups.
Say what you like and don’t like and say why.
Step 3 Exercise
1. Complete the sentences with the correct form of the words in the box in
Activity 2.
2. Look at the picture in Activity plete each sentence with two suitable words.
3. Match the words with the questions in Activity 4.
Step 4 Work in pairs.
1. Use the table in Activity 4 to ask and answer questions about these people.
