Unit2 How often do you exercise
1. 表示动作发生的“频率”的词有：
副词：every…, always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly, never等。
短语：即“次数+时间段”。
﹝ 注意“次数”的表达方法
一次 once， 两次 twice，三次或三次以上用基数词加上times：
three times、five times、one hundred times.﹞
once a week 一周一次
twice a month 一月一次
three times a year 一年三次
2. how often 多久一次 （询问的是动作发生的“ 频率”）
How often do you surf the Internet？Twice a week
你多久上一次网？一周两次。
3. as for意为“就……而论”，“至于”
As for fruit，I eat it sometimes.至于水果，我有时吃它。
As for him，I never want to see him here.
至于他，我永远不希望在这里见到。
My mother wants me to drink it.
我妈妈想要我喝它。
want to do sth. 想要做某事
want sb. to do sth. 想要某人干某事
Do you want to go to the movies with me？
你想和我一起去看电影吗？
I want you to help me with my math.
我想要你帮我学数学。
try to do sth 尽力去做某事
try not to do sth 尽力不做某事
= try/do one’s best to do sth. 尽某人最大努力做某事
eg. We should try / do our best to help the people in trouble.
我们该尽力帮助处于困境中的人们。
the same as 和……一样
e.g. My lifestyle is the same as Lily’s.
我的生活方式和李丽的一样。
be different from 不同于……
My lifestyle is different from yours.我的生活方式和你的不一样。
8. although的用法：although不能和but 连用，但可以和yet 连用。相当于though。如：
(1) Although/Though it is snowing,it is not very cold.
=It is snowing ,but it is not very cold. 虽然下着雪，但并不是很冷。
(2) Although he is young,he knows a lot.= He is young,but he knows a lot. 虽然他很小，他懂得很多。
9.be good for 对什么有益
be bad for 对什么有害
e.g. Watching TV too much is bad for your eyes.
看电视太多对我们的眼睛有害。
拓展：be good at 擅长于…… (后接名词或动名词)
e.g. She's good at sports.
e.g. Tom is good at playing soccer.
be good with 和……相处的好
e.g. Are you good with children
help sb （to）do sth. 帮助某人做某事
e.g. He helps me (to) learn English.
= help sb. with sth.(n.) 帮助某人做某事
e.g. He helps me with my English.

如：Here are the results of the student activity survey.

24. maybe 与may be 的区别：
maybe 意思是“可能”,常放于句首；may be 意思是“可能是”，放于主语之后。二者有时可以互换。如：他可能在家：Maybe he is at home.=He may be at home.
25.exercise的用法：
当动词用：锻炼
I exercise three times a week.
(2) 当名词用有两个意思。
当“锻炼”讲为不可数名词。
take exercise = do exercise 锻炼，做运动
当“操”讲为可数名词。
do morning exersises 做早操
do eye exersises 做眼保操
different→ n.difference 不同点，常用作复数。
differences between … and … …和…之间的不同点
如：There are some / a few differences between Lily and me
我和李丽之间有几个不同点。
