Teaching Plan of the Object Clause
Teaching aims:
1. To master the usages of the object clauses.
2. To use the object clauses to express oneself and solve problems.

Step 1 Free talk
Lead in
·Show the following pictures to lead in the object clause.
1. Some students are playing games.
2. They are flying kites.
3. They are doing exercise happily.
4. The student are dancing.
He asked why they were so happy.
Show the pictures to lead in the object clause.

What’s her favourite She likes travelling best. Travelling thousands of miles is better reading thousands of books. We know that travelling can help us relax ourselves.

What is the object clause 一、什么是宾语从句?
We know Miss Wang.简单句
We know she likes travelling.复合句
宾语从句就是由一个句子来充当主句的宾语
高频考点一 宾语从句的引导词
I. 陈述句作宾语时,用“that”引导.
1. She says, “I am from Shuyang ”. She says that she is from Shuyang
2. She says, “She can’t sleep well ”. She says that she can’t sleep well
注: 在口语中可以省略that
在主句为动词be加某些形容词(如sorry, sure, afraid, glad等)作表语时,后面所跟的省略that的从句也可算是宾语从句.
I’m sorry (that) you don’t know the answer.
I ’ m glad (that) my old friend is here.
I’m afraid (that) he won’t pass the exam .
We’re sure (that) Spud will win the game.
Step3以斯巴德导入下一个环节一般疑问句充当并从句引导词为if和whether
1. He wants to know, “Is Tan Dun a world。 famous composer ” (改为宾语从句)
He wants to know if/whether Tan Dun is a world-famous composer.
2.“HasTan built a bridge between the East and the West ” he asks. (改为宾语从句)
He asks if/whether Tan has built a bridge between the East and the West.
复习if与whether的用法区别
I don’t know _____ he will come or not.
2.I don’t care of ______ he is taller than the other players.
3.He wondered ______ to remain there for another week.
4. ______ this is true or not, I’m not sure.
与or not 连用只能用whether
介词后的宾语从句只能用whether
与to do 不定式连用只能用whether
宾语从句提到句首时用whether

III. 当从句是特殊疑问句时,由连接代词what, whom, whose, which及连接副词 when, where, how, why引导。
1. He asked,
“Where does Anne live ”
(改为宾语从句)
He asked where Anne lived

1.当主句是一般现在时,宾语从句的时态为任意所需时态。(需要性原则)
He said 1) He will go to Hong Kong .
2) He is sick.
3) He is reading a book .
4) He has finished his work.
2.当主句是一般过去时的时候,宾语从句为过去相关时态。(呼应性原则)

启发学生得出转变宾语从句时的人称变化规则:一随主,二随宾,三不变
3.从句表示的是客观事实、普遍真理、自然现象时,从句的时态一律使用一般现在时。上周他说太阳比地球大。
Last week ,he said that the sun is bigger than the earth.
【例3】 Yesterday the teacher told us the earth ________ the sun.(2016,烟台)

Step6高频考点三 宾语从句的语序
1.宾语从句要使用陈述语序,即“引导词+主语+谓语+其他”。如:
“When did the train leave ” I want to know. (改为宾语从句)
I want to know when the train left.
我想知道火车是什么时候离开的。
【注意】①有些特殊疑问句本身是陈述语序。如:
What's wrong with...
Which is the way to...
What happened to you...
What's the matter/trouble...
Who studies the hardest in your class
特殊疑问词是问句的主语,充当宾语从句时语序不变
②do you think后接宾语从句时,特殊疑问词即引导词要前置,do you think作为插入语。如:1.你认为他正在谈论谁?Who do you think he is talking about?
2.你认为我们的同学们在未来能做那些工作?What jobs do you think our classmates can do in the future
高频考点四 宾语从句的否定前移
在宾语从句中,当主句的谓语动词为think,believe,expect,imagine,suppose等时,如果主句是第一人称时,从句中表示否定意义的not应移到think,believe,expect,imagine,suppose等前。
1.我认为我们的足球队不会赢
I don’t think our football team will win.
2.我认为明天不会下雨。
I don't think (that) it will rain tomorrow.
if/when具有双重意义
1.I want to know if he _______ (come) tomorrow.
If he _______ (come). Please tell me.
2.Can you tell me when he________ (appear)
Please call me when he _______ (appear).
if / when :引导宾语从句&状语从句;
当if/when引导状语从句,应遵循“ ”原则。
