Task
Learning objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. use the new words and phrases correctly;
trust, calm, warmth, handbag, match, balance
2. know how to write a report on the relationship between the colours and the model’s moods in the advertisements.
3. write an article about a report on the relationship between the colours and moods.
Difficulties:
To describe the relationship between people’s moods and the colours and learn to write about a report.
Procedures:
Step 1 Revision
T: In the unit , we have learned about many different colours and the moods they represent.
Can you talk about them Can you tell me your feelings when you see the colours
Step 2 Presentation
Ask students to match the colours with the moods
What does … represent
1. black calm and peace
2. blue power and trust
3. green wisdom and success
4. orange power and strength
5. red energy and nature
6. white calm and sadness
7. yellow joy and warmth
Ask students to say something about the colours and moods.

Step 3 Analyze the sample writing

【Aims:By having a discussion , students talk about the colours and moods with the expressions they have learned, this step may help them organize their ideas about talking about the next advertisements.】
Step 5 Talk about the advertisements
1. Look at the advertisements and talk about them, try to make some notes.

Step 7. Correction
1. Choose a student’s article as a model and show it to students and correct it together.
2. Ask the students to correct each other’s articles.
