Welcome to the unit
教学内容:
本课内容为comic strip and welcome to the unit, 这是本单元的第一课时。由Eddie和Hobo的对话引出颜色这一话题。通过展示彩虹的七种颜色及Shirley和Any谈论最喜欢的颜色。让学生了解到世界是五彩缤纷的。如果没有颜色,世界将会灰暗,而且颜色还影响着人们的心情。这为学习reading打下了良好的基础。另外,在这一部分内容里出现了:I think(that) blue is better pink. I’m not sure if blue is good on you.等宾语从句,为后面的语法学习作好了铺垫。
教学目标:
1.To know colours of the rainbow and the right order.
To talk about one’s favourite colour.
2.To master and use language points.
3.To understand the world is colourful and we should enjoy and love the colourful life.
教学重点:
To know colours of the rainbow and use words that represent these colours.
教学难点:
To master and use language points.
教学方法:
To use guided learning case、multimedia and get students to learn by themselves、learn from each other 、discuss in groups and so on.

教学过程:
Step1 Revision and self-study
Show the guided learning case,get one student to read studying aims , then learn by themselves and complete the tasks as required. Check their answers

Step2 practice
Get students to talk about their own favourite colours .
Get students to fill in the blank with suitable colour.

Step 3 Presentation
Show students two pictures , one is dull and the other is colourful,get them to choose which
One is better.
(设计意图:让学生知道,世界充满着五颜六色,颜色影响着我们的情绪,因此我们要享受 、热爱这丰富多彩的世界,从而引出 Eddie and Hobo关于选择颜色的对话)
Step 4 Comic strip
Play the tape and get students to listen then answer the following questions:
1.Which colour does Eddie like better, blue or pink
Why
2.What does Hobo think about pink
3.Why does Hobo laugh at(嘲笑) Eddie ?
(设计意图:培养学生的理解能力和听说能力。)
Step 5 Practice
Get students to read the dialogue then act it out.
(设计意图:进一步训练学生的口语表达能力,提高学习兴趣。)

教后记:
本节课通过自主学习、小组讨论、合作互助、交流展示等环节,较圆满地完成了教学任务。在Welcome to the unit 部分,学生以小组为单位,先复习学过的表示颜色的单词(要求:每位成员至少说出6种颜色的单词),然后自主学习,试着写出横线上有关彩虹颜色的名称,最后阅读Amy和Shirley的对话,完成表格,回答她们俩最喜欢的颜色。从检查反馈来看,效果非常好。另外,根据Amy and Shirley的对话,两人一组,相互探讨各自最喜欢的颜色,学生表现较好。在Comic strip部分,学生能够较好地完成听力练习及表演训练,接下来自主学习语言点同时完成相关的练习。在学习过程中,根据老师所提供的学习内容,成绩较好 的学生帮助学困生解决问题,这样“兵教兵”,较好地完成了学习任务。
本节课不足之处:
1.两次表演对话时,学生的语速有点快,而且表情过于严肃,有点拘谨,给人感觉就是在背诵对话。
2.在重难点的突破上,教师处理的不是太好。例如,在学生板演词组或句式时,一学生写成了Something /nothing wrong with sb./sth. ,另一同学到黑板上订正。订正过后,应该再让学生反复说几遍,然后,做相应的练习,这样效果会更好。
改进措施:
1.在平时的课堂教学中,注重学生的语言表达能力,提高学生说英语的兴趣,做到多说多练,表达自然、流畅。
2.对待重、难点,要让学生多练习、多训练,做到巩固、掌握。
3.在夯实基础的同时,注重知识点的拓宽,提高学生的综合运用能力。
