教学难点: Learn to describe your family tree.

Step 1 Warming up (PPT 4) Make Ss have a free talk: Talk about the family tree with your partner. Review how to introduce your family. These/Those are… This/that is … Who is/are … He/She is … They are … 图文并茂秀全家福。复习如何介绍家人。导入1a。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 5-7) Work on 1a. 1. Show the family tree to Ss and make them add the words in the box to it. 2. Ask Ss to match the words with the pictures. 3. Complete the family tree. Then read it . 用家庭树练习填写这些家庭成员。帮助学生用英语流利的表达家庭成员的关系。
Step 3 Listening (PPT 8-11) Work on 1b,1c. 1. Play the tape for Ss to listen and check ( √ ) the words they hear. Check answers. 2. Ask Ss to read the sentences and then match the answers with the questions. 3. Make Ss listen again and tell which picture Jiang Tao and Tom are talking about. 4. Ss listen and fill in blanks. Role play with their partners. Then present in class. 训练学生的听力水平 及口语交际。学生口头对家庭成员进行问答。通过角色扮演来练习这些句型。
Step 4 Practice (PPT 12-14) Work on 1d. 1. Ask Ss to draw a picture of their family and friends. 2. Work in pairs to tell your partner about your picture. 3. Fill in the blanks, and role play with your partner. Read it. 这是口语输出的过程。创造真实的语言环境,训练学生的口语表达能力。
Step 5 Language points (PPT 15-20) 1. Explain the usage of the word: grandparent. 2. Explain the rules of single nouns into plural nouns. 3. Ask Ss to read them and practice them. 讲解grandparent的构词法和单数名词变复数的变化规则,解决本节课的难点。
Step 6 Summary (PPT 21) Sum up the target languages: 1.Who are... 2.单数名词变为复数 3. Draw your family tree. 此处设计是为了使学生更好的总结本课时所学的重点单词和句型。
Step 7 Exercises (PPT 22-25) Do some exercise to practice the key words, the target language and key sentences. 通过首字母填空、单选以及改错等形式练习所学的重点内容。
