A Minnesota man lost his life when he visited a national park in California. A big redwood tree fell on him. Subhradeep Dutta was 28 years old. He was walking on a path just after 4:35 pm on Tuesday at the Muir Woods National Monument Park. He became pinned(被压制的) by the trunk(树干) of a 200-foot-tall tree.
Dutta was with two other people when the accident happened. He was dead at that place, according to the Marin County Coroner's Office and a park spokesman. The trunk was more than 4 feet in diameter(直径). A woman was hurt and people took her to a hospital. Her condition was not good. A man hiking with the group was safe.
The park spokesman said that the accident happened after two weeks of winter storms. “This is a very rare and strange thing.
